I called them too and got told a similar thing, but I am getting a Pro so it's all good. I just hope they resolve this issue because the Diamond is a great phone eeerr device. :-D and I'd really hate for it's image to be tarnished by something that's so easily fixable.

Yes I agree Toinejuan. With our addiction to these units they will always have a following somewhat , even thought we make up a mere 5 to 10 % of users

My phone was a never activated phone that I bought from EBay, but the box that I got the phone in comes from Sprint's UPS facility in Louisville so if I bring the box in with everything then it would appear that it came direct from Sprint.

In that case you can walk into a store. We purchased one of the moguls on my account from eBay. It was brand new and with the insurance on it . It was like it was purchased from sprint. Curious question.how much did it run you

I don't have insurance on the account, but I am within my 30 days of getting the phone activated so the idea(in my hopes) is to go into the store, have them test out the phone to show that indeed, it does heat up very easily, and go to a Touch Pro instead. Would that work?

btw, I paid $299 + free shipping, and I also got the 30% Microsoft Cashback too so in 2 months I'll be getting $90.

I know this is a bit off topic for this but, I know I can't be the only person that's notice this egg with the Diamond. I found that you can slide your finger(I use my thumb) over the letters instead of pushing for input and compile words very rapidly. I mean I just glide my hand over it really fast and the words come up faster than doing a keyboard input. I can do it with the stylus also but I notice the finger is faster.
Has anyone else come across this egg or is it just me? If you need an explanation of what I mean let me know I can take a video and show you all.

So you think it's possible that if I bring this phone into a Sprint Store in a week or so and have them experience the burning of the phone, that they'll be flexible enough to get me into a Touch Pro?

They might not have the touch pro in store stock next week
