Re: when will we see Android
The obama thing, I was just trying to be funny....sorry
Your right, I stated that wrong. I did refer WM as being open source and I AM wrong. What I was meaning was that just about anything the G1 can run, the Diamond can run too. I'm just not a linux fan. I have Ubuntu as a third OS on my pc, It's a cool OS if you like to tinker and all, But I have come to the reality that I AM NOT a gifted programmer in the least!! But for what it's worth, the G1 is still ugly....lol |

Re: when will we see Android
I got a G1 on the way. I'm curious about the hardware, the Google-enhanced applications, but not looking forward to having to slide out the keyboard every time to enter text. I'm guessing someone will create a virtual keyboard soon enough. I'm disappointed with the relatively low screen resolution.
Once ported, I'd imagine I would still stay w/ WM on the Diamond--if for nothing else--the 3rd-party apps. It will be some time before there will be adequate 3rd-party applications like I would want on the Android. I still keep a Palm Centro activated simply because there are some neat apps that don't exist on WM. |

Re: when will we see Android
I like the apps they have already for the G1. I do have a question is there any way to port over the android scan application? Or is there any application like it already made for wm?
Thanks |

Re: when will we see Android
It will be really interesting when they can port Android over to the Diamond. I think the G1 is great software wise but the phone itself is horrendous looking and is the sole reason I would never pick one up. Hopefully they can port it to WM devices soon as I would pick up a used Titan and flash it with Android.

Theres still slot of work needed, and they haven't got it working on CDMA Diamonds due to minor differences. |
