Fragile Screen - Beware!!!!!

Howdy All,

First post here.

So frustrated. Just got my Diamond 3 weeks ago, got it all set up and dropped it about 8 inches. Screen shattered!!!!! Oh sh**! I couldn't believe it Fortunately, I called right away and got the insurance plan ($7/month, piss me off). So I can replace it with a new one for a $50 deductible.

This thing is sooooooo fragile!!!!!!!!!!! I went online and bought a silicon sleeve for the new one. Hope to find a nice slim pocketable leather case.

Highly recommend you all find some way to protect your new toys, and for god's sake...don't drop it!

Yes I was.

Good to hear many of you have dropped yours without damage. I was really worried about breaking this phone multiple times. It was sitting on my lap when I got out of my car and fell onto the door sill. It was plugged into the car charger so it didn't hit the ground. As some of you said, it must of hit at just the right angle.

As one of you said, the silicon sleeve is "girlie," but really don't want to have something bulky protecting it. Maybe I'll try the case that Juggalo X uses. Jug, does that case increase the bulk much? One of the things I love most about the diamond is how svelte it is.

Finally, right after I broke it I called Sprint and ordered the $7 insurance. I had two days left to add it to my account (you get 30 days after activation). Ten minutes later I called Asurion (the company they use to handle claims) and got a brand new one sent. Cost? $50,00 plus $7 to have it overnight shipped. I'll have it tomorrow. You can no longer go to a sprint store for replacement. It has to go thropugh Asurion.

Thanks for all your comments. Sorry for the long post.

Steve
