Fragile Screen - Beware!!!!!

Howdy All,

First post here.

So frustrated. Just got my Diamond 3 weeks ago, got it all set up and dropped it about 8 inches. Screen shattered!!!!! Oh sh**! I couldn't believe it Fortunately, I called right away and got the insurance plan ($7/month, piss me off). So I can replace it with a new one for a $50 deductible.

This thing is sooooooo fragile!!!!!!!!!!! I went online and bought a silicon sleeve for the new one. Hope to find a nice slim pocketable leather case.

Highly recommend you all find some way to protect your new toys, and for god's sake...don't drop it!

Re: Fragile Screen - Beware!!!!!

what about the case it comes with.. i use that and it works just fine... although i guess it could be a little smaller.. but those silicone cases are for little girlies or those dumb iphone users...

Re: Fragile Screen - Beware!!!!!

I'm embarr***** to admit that I've already dropped mine 3 times, twice on concrete. Either I've been VERY lucky those 3 times or you were VERY unlucky the one time.
Has anyone else dropped theirs (and is willing to admit it)? Break or bounce?
Myke...

Re: Fragile Screen - Beware!!!!!

If you have the 7$ TEP, sprint stores will change out your cracked screen for free. And since they probably don't have any parts in yet, they should give you a new phone, or order you one.

Re: Fragile Screen - Beware!!!!!

it's quite possible that you dropped it perfectly in a spot where the screen obsorbed the stress instead of the case taking the stress. So I doubt that the phone is fragile or it wouldn have been released with all the hype I has received.

Anyways, best of luck to you.

Re: Fragile Screen - Beware!!!!!

I've dropped my phone twice on concrete and twice on the carpet in my house, I got a lil' nip on the back and it's barely noticeable.......I only know it's there cause I can have very good eye sight but the average person wouldn't see it. This is a tough lil phone, I've had it for almost a month now.
