Unhappy Re: Sprint Diamond battery problem

Hey Cappy,

Thank You for your response.

Based on experience in other industries, companies pay lurkers to be active on forums and defend the companies position.

There seems to be 2 camps when it comes to Diamond, ones who are vocal about the battery issues and ones who are not.

If you read the link I posted, an employee at HTC did post information that the battery is a problem, as stated, my goal in this post was 2 fold, one was to get users calling HTC and their respective carriers if they have similar battery problems, this will log this issue with the carriers and HTC, at that time they may identfy/review and maybe fix the issue. The 2nd objective was to see if anyone has a solution, another member has been kind to post 2 links which I will checkout and hope they offer a solution.

I do believe this is an excellent device except for 3 issues I have stated, a reg edit to improve battery life will resolve biggest issue to date, I would hope HTC and the carriers will find some retrofit solution for the panel they did not install that increases the heat and maybe next time they will find a better position for reset button for future devices.

It's the setting for how often your phone polls the towers, I think that's what you were looking for.
I included the first link however to show that 100ms may not be accurate. If you read both those thread, you'll get a lot more comprehensive info on it, they're pretty useful.
