Re: Battery Fix

I'm using mighty's 3.3 Rom this sounds really dumb but where is the registry editor? I've looked in advance config but I cant find anywhere to check my battery paging. I'm suffering through a rediculously low usage time. Also does anyone know how to turn on a low battery alert? mine keeps turning off as soon as it beeps. Also has anyone had problems being on their phone while its plugged in and it still dying? Last night I was have a conversation and it was plugged in and it still kept draining it was really annoying. Thanks!

Re: Battery Fix

Hello All,
Im new to the Diamond - upgraded from a PPC 6700. I think the battery life rocks on the stock rom. I go to work and do a little emal. phone, slingplayer, weather and web and i easiy have 3 bars at the end of the day.
One day i did notice rapid battery discharge and it turned out to e slingplayer running in the background. Did you guys select 'Make 'x' close program - not just minimize them' ? Is it possible most of the poor battery performance is due to people not knowing progs are still running in the background?
HTH somebody -magohn

Re: Battery Fix

Well, many believe there are defective devices/batteries that are causing subpar battery life.

Yep, I'm starting to think my phone or battery is defective after trying just about everything to improve battery life.

I'm using Mightyrom 3.3 (excellent by the way), and have tried 3 different radios. I've managed to improve my standby time but am still only getting about 12 hours with almost no usage. Making any phones calls almost always rapidly drains my battery.

I realize that some people experience faster battery drain when their coverage is sub par, but I'm seeing rapid draining even with full bars doing totally stationary test calls.

I'm gonna try to get sprint to replace my battery and might also give this one a shot:

Juicy. Im just curious. Would changing the value to an even higher number give even better results?

No. After doing the registry changes, soft resetting, and then going to back in to make sure the changes stuck. I plug, and unplug. Sure enough, the icon comes and goes just as fast as I plug or unplug the power.

Besides, the polling change is only 15 seconds difference from stock. If yours stays stuck showing a charging icon for a few minutes after it has been unplugged, then something isn't right with your phone.
