Re: What GPS do you have on your diamond?

I have TomTom 7 and Garmin XT. Garmin is prettier and has better maps, but TomTom is faster in every way. I used Sprint Nav on my Mogul, and it was nice, but not worth $9.99/month.

Re: What GPS do you have on your diamond?

I finally got TomTom 7 on the Diamond. The map could be a little prettier and if the street names were announced, it would be perfect

Re: What GPS do you have on your diamond?

Someone named eduardmc once mentioned an app that says the street names as well. If an app says the street names, I'm sold.

Re: What GPS do you have on your diamond?

I use Garmin XT because I don't care for the 3D view of maps that TOMTOM uses. I had both on my diamond, just tossed the TOMTOM.

iGO8 is the best of the three. Nicer graphics and you get text to speech with it.

Livesearch is my program of choice, it has everything all in a convenient place. It would be nice if it had voice but you cant beat free but, the re-routing, points of interest, traffic alerts and the alerts through bluetooh all make up for the lack of voice.

I definetly agree! I have used Garmin, Telenav, Tom Tom, and iGuidance. Non even come close to iGO 8 in my opinion. With the best graphics, TTS, great routing, totally skinable, and a ton of customizable options, you can't go wrong with this baby! I also attached a screen shot if people are not familiar with it.......

Re: What GPS do you have on your diamond?

well im on an everything plan so I might be biased, but i love sprintnav/telenav. it speaks the streets, I can input the destination over the phone instead of trying to OSK type while driving. it finds cheap gass, recaclulates routs for traffic and if I go off rout, can add POI. the only issue I have is that it sucks the battery, though if your on a REALLY long drive you can pretty much shut it off for a few hours as your likley going to be on the same road for long stretches of time. I made it from chicago to STL with about 40% battery remaining on my titain. havent tried that drive yet since I got my diamond.
