Thank you gamer007. I tried it and change both value from 3000, 2000 to 0. Today I still missed a few calls. I am using Juicy 2.2 rom.

Re: Ringtone delayed

Hi - I installed this cab and it reduced the ring delay to about 1 ring:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=258109

I used the "Normal" one (no change in volume).

Only possible downside is you have to use .wav for ringtones. However the cab provides you with all the stock ringtones etc. converted to .wav.

Cheers,

Jeff

Thanks Jeff. I will give it a try. .wav ringtones occupy very large space

I installed Diamond Tweak to change the "ring time" to "without delay". But after some time, not sure when, it changed back to "with delay" automatically. Is there anyway to hold it?

I read through that post and it's not clear what the cab actually does to minimize the ring delay. Any idea what reg edits are being made to enable this?

Thanks.

Sorry, I don't know anything more about it than what is described in the thread. However you might try pm'ing the OP in that thread, as he is still active on xda-developers.

Re: Ringtone delayed

Just to update the fix:
Received 11 calls and successfully picked up 10 calls. 1 failed to pick up. Looks like it works.

Re: Ringtone delayed

I have this problem when my ringtones are in \Internal Storage\My Documents\My Ringtones. I don't have this problem when my ringtones are in \My Document\My Ringtones.

Guess I'll just have to use main memory for my ringtones for now until a better solution comes along that removes the delay when the ringtones are in the internal storage based location. (Note: All my ringtones are "cut down" versions of MP3s...I don't use the full MP3, but rather specific snippets that I chose and saved using Audacity.)

Cool!

Which fix did you install - the one that converts your rings to wav files? If so, which cab did you install?

Also, I found that making the change that rainfreak recommended in the post below (in addition to the cab install for the wav ringtones) helped even further, in that now there is less delay when I call my phone between when the phone I'm calling from rings and when my cell phone rings:

Yep, I tried all the others too, but this cab worked for me.
