Re: HTC Diamond Stuck load screen, can't hard reset not working

Honestly I'm PMSing, so I went a bit deep. I was not aware of all the areas that I could add info to help explain what model I have etc. I had exhausted all my other options that I was aware of. I used the search for all forums and found nothing. Sometimes it's simply again lack of knowledge that gets in the way. The way I searched for answers did not match the titles of any threads. My intent was to help avoid having some other poor sole search for the same thing I needed for half the day and come up blank. This whole piece was started by me to help others not waste hours to get to. I became defensive when others posted snide remarks to my post. Why? Why were they on that thread anyway? If the thread serves it's purpose, than it's to help others, not open a debate on proper posting etc. It takes far less energy to be nice than mean. I will let the posting keep to the experts as it's not an experience that turned out how I wanted or expected ~ thanks to all for your hard work and sharing of what you know!

Re: HTC Diamond Stuck load screen, can't hard reset not working

You dug up an old thread... for the wrong phone. This is the DIAMOND forum, not the Pro forum.

Nicely done on the GSM ROM though

Re: HTC Diamond Stuck load screen, can't hard reset not working

Sorry bout that. I realized it was the diamond but was hoping it would work for the Pro since he encountered the exact same problem. I had to downgrade back to my mogul.... good thing i hadnt sold it yet and i get to play with andriod a bit...

Update:

I know this is Diamond thread but I found a solution for this problem that worked on the Pro and may work on a Diamond that you can not get to hard reset. I just did the power and volume down combo to get to the multi color screen and reflashed. Worked with no problems and my phones working again. So if you lock it up with a GSM rom like I did ( like a moron) hopefully this or a hard reset can work for you Diamond or Pro... again sorry for the mis placed post in my frantic state last night.

Re: HTC Diamond Stuck load screen, can't hard reset not working

the fact that the poll has options which all dont really say "there is enough going on to say that its cdma" kinda throws me off. Since the diamond picture is no of the gsm one, sprint, bell, telus, verizon are all cdma carriers. And not only that, but the fact that there are NO gsm roms posted here.

i was once a noob. my first windows mobile phone was only 9 months ago. But what noobs must always do is read the stickys. MANY people fail to do that.

Re: HTC Diamond Stuck load screen, can't hard reset not working

yeh but picture or not or whatever, i know that for every ROM ive seen in this section the very first post where the ROM links go specifically says what carrier its for- its FAR from brain surgery.

If someone cant at least read the very first post or heck the words next to the link itself, then its their own problem if they screw their phone up. At least have to show a minimal effort on their own part after all the cooks do for the community in terms of work.

Theres no need to split up the upgrades section, people and noobs simply need to read whats with the link to the ROM its all right in front of everyone's face equally in very plain and clear language.
