Question about Sprint Touch Diamond tech support and service

Sort of an odd question...

I purchased a NIB Touch Diamond off of ebay. Am receiving it today sometime.

Does Sprint (or do Sprint stores) offer tech support for phones if they aren't purchased through Sprint? Or, do I have to go through HTC for any warranty issues?

I purchased a BB Pearl via Radioshack online last Feb. I have taken that to a Sprint store to fix a button pad issue. No questions asked cept for my account number, etc.

Since it's branded Sprint, I'm guessing they will service or exchange if necessary? knock on wood

well, you won't get the 30 day trial policy. radioshack is an Authorized retailer, ebay is not.

No, I realize that. I bought outright. When I purchased a phone from RS, I was a new customer.

My question was as far as any tech service, would a Sprint store (not independent kiosk) honor the phone even though I didn't purchase through a Sprint authorized dealer? Or, do I have to go through HTC or something.

if they put service on it, they service it.

that being said, there will always(anybody/any phone) be cases where they may refer you to htc for warranty repair/service

Yes, I have purchased multiple devices from eBay and never had any trouble with Sprint servicing or activation.
