Using Today Plugins with TF3D (Second Today) - Page 5

I have yes, it tiles the picture instead of centering it though and can't seem to change it.

It seems to treat TF3D as a plugin for the second today screen (which it is I guess). But it tiles it with the rest of the plugins and seems to take up an excessive amount of space, like 3/4 of the page of just the HTC logo. I can go into the 2nd today settings and move it up or down the list so I make it go to the bottom of the list which makes it appear at the bottom of the 2nd today screen. Not the end of the world I guess, but it does make a scroll bar appear on the right side of the screen because of it.

Anyone else experiencing this phenomenon?

Fixed it. The background image I was trying to use was 240x320 (it was left over from the qvga days). The TF3D can handle this and make it the appropriate size; however Second Today could not. So I opened up my picture editor on my computer, changed the size to 480x640, and voila! No tile-ing the pic as the background of second today,

I had this setup before with nu problems. Now it wont wont work. I followed the steps as outlinded and still cant get it. I think the problem came in when I tried to use "Remap Softkeys.exe" to change it before I saw this thread. Well I made a mistake and mapped my right soft key to "Touch Pro Guide". the link deosnt work at all and I cant change it. "Remap Softkeys.exe"doesnt get installed on the device at all, so I cant uninstall it. any ideas?

What do you need the TF3D exe for? If you're just trying to set the soft key to take you back to TF3D, you need to set it to the SecondToday.exe instead. I was confused about this at first, but the same exe will toggle back and forth between TF3D and SecondToday. It depends on where you installed the application to, but for me it's "\Program Files\SecondToday\SecondToday.exe".

I cant get it overide that I did with SoftKey Remap. Can you post a pic of your Second Today setting screen for Manila and the today screen? That way I can verify what it should look like. I had it working before and now it wont work.

Thanks for this thread! As a result of searching for this functionality I found a new utility called TFDetacher and so far I'm loving it. Haven't found any issues yet running with MightyROM.

I was on the verge of kicking TF3D to the curb before I found this stuff

I just installed TFDetacher yesterday and so far I'm liking it a lot better than SecondToday. With SecondToday half the time my TP would freeze after a soft reset while loading Today screen plugins and TF3D. I haven't had a problem like that once with TFD. The only difference between the two that I can see is that with SecondToday TF3D runs in the real Today screen and the other plugins run in a fake one. With TFD the regular plugins run in the real Today screen and TF3D runs in this application. So it's the same thing in practical use but it works by doing the opposite function.

Is there a newer version or some support docs to go with the program ?

Installed it on my Sprint Touch Pro with the TouchFlo 3D interface loaded up and it seemed to work O.K.

Any more help would be greatly apprieciated.
