I figured out a way to not need an extra arm do a hard reset.....

1. Power the phone off.
2. Pull the battery out and put it right back in.
3. Press the power+Volume Down+Dial Pad

Follow the prompt to do a hard reset and Voila, hard reset

No need to do the stylus reset thing.

With having to press all three buttons and use your stylus to click the reset on the back I had to have my wife press the reset.

Yes, now I can do it all by my big self without my wifes help.

Many, many times.. and it's the same thing, you've just changed how you turn on the power.

i'm doing the following and having this issue:

Pushing volume down, and enter and power. While holding all 3 i enter the stylus. THe message i get says "this will delete all ... " etc, but does not give me any further instructions on a hard reset. ?

oops, bimbo-alert. it said hit volume up, which i did last time but it didn't work, did it again just now and it worked.
