Re: Internet not working? Possible Fixes!!

HTTP Error 407 - Proxy authentication required

Quote:
This error is returned when you try to access a Web site through a proxy server that has access control turned on while using Basic Authentication.

The Web Proxy, through a 407 HTTP response, requests credentials from the browser client (or downstream Proxy Server). The client provides the credentials, or in the case of a downstream Web proxy, the proxy server may provide the credentials itself.

If the credentials used by the client or by the downstream proxy server are not allowed by the upstream proxy server, this error will be displayed.

Re: Internet not working? Possible Fixes!!

it should work, try 000000 for the MSL
or just run EPST from the windows folder and edit M.IP Profile 1

Re: Internet not working? Possible Fixes!!

I was able to get my Diamond to do Internet Sharing via USB.

First: I did the registry edit (removed the forcecellphone key) which got me past the "disconnected by remote user" but then I got stuck with Error Code 67

Second: I installed the internet sharing fix cab file that some one posted here
But for some reason it wouldn't allow me to hit the "connect" button on the internet sharing program.

Third: I uninstalled the cab file to undo the damage and it worked perfectly ever since.

Edit: sorry I think I misread the title. the internet on my phone itself worked out of the box.

Re: Internet not working? Possible Fixes!!

Sprint gave me similar instructions and it worked for me... Also did 2 registry edits posted in a thread around here and usb to pc internet working great! I added the other registries to make them unable to scan the teether (haven't tested yet).
The difference to the solution given to me was to restore to default and then update profile after soft reset...

The only problem I have is using the internet while in roaming....force roaming doesn't seem to work for me (keeps searching and never connects). Which I desperately need for my house, but even when I manage to get roaming the internet won't work. A sprint CSR told me that internet and text messages don't work while in roaming. Is there any solution to this? I don't mean to hijack this thread sorry if I am and ignore me

Re: Internet not working? Possible Fixes!!

My internet works, but Opera does this annoying thing where if I close it after a long session or if my phone goes into standby, when I try and open Opera back up it hangs and doesnt do anything. IE still works though? Anyone else?

Re: Internet not working? Possible Fixes!!

If I had it I would give you a million bucks! I have been talking to Sprint tech support for 3 days and no one helped me. I came across your post, followed your instructions, and viola...my phone features that require data service now work. Add me to your list. Your procedure works!=D>
