hey i started a thread about an issue im having with my internet and it can be found here if you need more back ground to my problem <link>

but to make my question even simpler

what does a person do if the msl code he got from getspc, the reg edit log hack and by calling CS does not allow me to go in and edit anything...

is there a way to get a new MSL, make the old one work, or bypass it?

Check your other thread, I posted a different way to get your MSL.

Well I switched my phone over to Alltel was not able to get internet to work,, switched back to original sprint rom on Alltel network and Internet works great as well as Sprint TV. How does that work any ideas? So now I have Sprint TV working and I'm an Alltel customer .. Huh

Puerto Rico people and every one that not have RevA avaliable you will have problems whit the touch pro and diamond, you have to dial ##778# put the msl and then disable the RevA or you will not be avaliable to connect, im form PR and thats the way that i fix my touch pro

man WTF i am the one in out store who can fix just about any Winmo problem in our store, and also found out from activating and programming a bunch of Diamonds and TP's, that activating the device/doing the esn swap first and then letting the device program itself usually is painless, then if that doenst work, of course i change the active profile to 1, and that works everytime....

Well GUESS WHAT,

my replacement diamond arrived today and OTA programming of course failed, so i changed the active profile on mine to 1 thinking that it would be all good...YEAH RIGHT.

a ##3282# reveals that all of my fields are blank, no username, none of that crap. I have tried EVERY fix in this thread, and still no luck. I already customized the h3ll out of my phone and dont wanna have to do a ##RTN# if i dont have to. Update profile does nothing. Ive done two restores in EPST which fixes it sometimes..hahaha...NOTHING. I have no clue why this replacement failed, but I guess a RTN is the only way out..

Hold off for a minute on the RTN. I did have one Diamond that did this very same thing. This is how I fixed it:

1. ##DATA# and change user profile to 1. Allow soft reset.
2. Run Settings, Update Profile. Whetehr it succeeds or fails, soft reset.
3. ##DATA# and check the seetings, If they are still empty, restore defaults. Allow soft reset.
4. ##DATA# and check the settigns. In my case I had to change user profile to 1 again. Allow soft reset.
5. The data connection worked from this point forward.

Certaily this is redundant, but it worked for the one that I had that wanted to be an SOB about it. Give it a try and let me know...

thanks for replying RF. ill try this all again in that sequence..and then report back in a few minutes. I just realized ur from toledo!! I went to UT

update: no go, just did a RTN and hopefully it will OTA program
