how about a cab that removes only the bottom bar?
can I get a nobottomcurtain.cab knocked out on my own? I mean how do you guys edit this stuff anyway?

I would like to learn if is not too complicated so that I don't bother you guys with noob cab request and get my hands dirty to contribute maybe??

Can anyone tell me how to change the content on the top bar. I know how to make it transparent or collor it differently, but for the life of me I can't get rid of the stupid alltel graphic!!

In the Sprint theme the icon is in file 443d5315_manila as a graphic. The word Sprint is also graphic in that file. I can send you an empty file and see if it gets rid of your Telus info. If it does but you then have the word Telus in your regular font and you want it removed then you also need to edit file 1c684cd8_manila which is a mode9 type of file.

To edit graphic type manila files use chainfires cfcgui editor (found here and on XDA) to extract the graphic, then a photo editing program to make your changes, then reimport the changed graphic back into manila format using cfcgui again. To edit mode9 (more complicated as its coding) use Mode9 Editor (also at XDA) to make changes directly within file.

All changes must be made on your PC so you'd need to move/copy the files from your windows directory on the phone to your pc first.

I'm attaching the blank 443d5315 file that will/should remove the logo for you.
unzip/copy/move into your phones windows directory after disabling touchflo3d in your today settings. then re-enable and let me know if that works.

I'm only new here so please pardon my ignorance. I would like to use this manila to get rid of the starhub logo,, but when I try to copy it across to the windows directory of my HTC Touch HD, I get told it is a read only file. How do I change the attributes in WM6?

Two things, which file/zip are you referring to? I can cab it up for you then it will overwrite your directory.
OR if its a manila file be sure you turn off touchflo3d in your start/settings/today first
OR you can try using total commander (free app) to rename the old file to a .bak extension then unzip the new file. (do not reset inbetween).

Hi. I am referring to the manila 443d5315 which contains the starhub logo. I have installed total commander and for some reason it will not allow me to rename or change the attributes.

If you have a cab that removes the starhub logo I would be very appreciative.

OK here is that file cleared out and cabbed up. If your carrier's manila is the same as sprint in that the same file carries the logo this will remove it.

Don't forget to disable touchflo3d first.
