Well, I received the phone. Very nice device, BUT, I'm probably going to be returning it. I started a thread in here a few weeks ago because I kept reading in reviews that the radio wasn't the best. I live in rural area and the Sprint reception on my Touch has always been marginal but it has worked and I have gotten an EVDO connection on data without problem, even though it was weak and not the fastest connection.

Now, with the Diamond, I'm getting 1x with an occasional switch to EVDO but 95 percent of the time it is on 1x. The phone reception is weak and breaks up, something that didn't happen on the Touch.

All in all, a very disappointing deal for me. For those in normal reception areas it should be fine but if you go into a marginal area you may be surprised by this phone.

also you need to remember that your touch has gone through many radio upgrades with all the flashing you most likely have done, with time I think the reception will improve just like it has with the titan/touch.

Sprint should of left it black or a gray backing. Maybe I will start looking for a new backing for it.

Don't worry, its definitely not pink. It's actually not as bad as I was expecting. I'm not a big fan of the color red, but yeah, its not half bad. I would have preferred black though.

Thats good to know the red color is not too bad. I am sure some company will make a different color battery cover for it.

just checked online..... got the update saying my sht was activated or what ever and got the tracking number....




DELIVEREDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!! god dammit i am complaining too...kept me out of the loop....and now my 550$ phone is sitting on my doorstep. my neighborhood is right next to the not so best place to live either. and i dont get home for a while

Congrats everyone! nOW.. HOW THE HELLL DO WE TRANFFER OUR CONTACTS! I used the spd back up and it froze the Diamond.

Did you sync your old phone to your computer with Outlook? If so just sync the new phone and it will transfers all your contacts to your phone. If you don't use outlook then I have no idea
