Re: For all who is going to return their diamond for the pro..

I agree with waiting. It's just wrong to get the diamond now when we KNOW we are just going to switch when the pro comes out. I think it would be too funny if people got busted with a delay in the pro and got stuck with diamonds, although you could just return the diamond, get your money back, reactivate an old phone for a few days, and then buy the pro.

If we all enjoy sprints plans and phones, we should do the right thing and wait. It's not that long. Don't get me wrong, I am one of the biggest "new phone freaks" around. I am really wanting to play with this new tf3d and what not. I just don't want the bad luck and higher prices in the future.

I will wait it out and get it on opening day. I love the hunt to find the local store who has it in stock and be the first one. Sometimes I even get them the day before release. I'm waiting and doing it right. It will be like saving myself for marriage. Wow, what a scary thought. Maybe I should just get the diamond now.

but isn't the phone automatically activated when you ordered it.

so if above link is true. You can but the phone and not activate it till a month later. Than you have a month after that to return. That doesn't sound right.

Not if you're upgrading on an existing line.

What everbody fails to realize is that the 30 day policy only applys to new costumers! If you are an existing customer and your contract expires, once you buy the phone you renew the contract.......THERE IS NO 30 DAY RETURN for existing customer unless something has drastically change when I left sprint, which I dought!

That is incorrect. You still have a 30 day return/exchange guarantee if you are upgrading. The return portion is slightly different however. If you return a device within 30 days on an upgrade, your contract reverts back to what you had before, the upgrade fee is credited back (if applicable), and you still retain the eligibility to upgrtade in the future. Note that the contract will not revert back automatically in the system, but there will be notations i nthe account showing that you returned the device, meaning that the old contract should be used instead of the new one. Most reps will notate the date of the old contract as well.

Re: For all who is going to return their diamond for the pro..

How does the upgrading policy work with discounts? Like the Diamond is $550. If you're upgrading you you get the instant discount or the MIR? Also, to use the $150 off after 2 years do you have to sign a new contract, or can I grandfather my SERO plan?

regarding grandfathering: i just got off the phone with telesales and they said i would keep my sero plan if i decided to upgrade.

EDIT: oh ya, and i was eligible for the same perks as a new customer (rebates and savings)
