how exactly do you go about returning the diamond for the pro.

here's my situation....

I want a Touch Pro more than I want food and shelter. I recently sold my mogul and am back to using my ever so beautiful 700wx. The only issue is the treo has pretty poor reception. so...

I want to get a diamond to hold me over until i get to make love to a Touch Pro.

how do i get a diamond and return it without losing my credits or upgrade eligibility.

Buy it after the 19th. The pro comes out the oct 19th and will be within your 30 days. Just tell them then that you want a keyboard and want to trade it for the pro. You will then jusy pay the difference.

Technically it does have to be scratch free. If there are any signs of use sprint can refuse to exchange it for a different model. The reason is that phones returned within 30 days are sold as pre-owned phones for half the retail price when someones phone is damaged beyond repair, lost/stolen and have no insurance or rebates towards a new phone available. Solution is dont scratch it at all or if you do and worry that they wont exchange it try and convince them something is wrong with it.

Actually, I do belive the 30 days starts when you activate the diamond. You could buy it now and activate it on the 19th. Just ask them when you buy it. The 30 day deal is no secret, although I shouldn't be abused like this. This just ends up raising rates on phones in the future. Sprint ends up loosing miney everytime someone does this. They get most of there money from the services, but will try and make up this type of lose somehow.

I must say... I might do it oct 1st when I am eligible. Although, I am actually wanting to think I could keep the diamond. I just don't know if I can do without a keyboard.

30 days starts at the time of purchase actually, activation does not matter. Dealt with many customers in my years with sprint about this issue when it came christmas time.
