Re: Diamond roaming
Under HKLM\Software\OEM\InitProv\PhoneSetting
Change ItemCount from 2 to 3 Save Soft Reset On reboot, start > settings > phone > services > roaming > select the new option that is revealed "Automatic-B" **************************** works for me |

Re: Diamond roaming
to get the automatic b setting use these settings
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\InitProv\PhoneSett ing] "ItemValue2"=dword:00000004 "ItemName2"="Standard" "ItemCount"=dword:00000004 "ItemValue4"=dword:00000002 "ItemName4"="Automatic-A" "ItemValue3"=dword:00000003 "ItemName3"="Automatic-B" "ItemValue1"=dword:00000001 "ItemName1"="Home only" "ServiceTitle"="Phone: Preferred Serving System" "ServiceName"="Network Service" |

Re: Diamond roaming
I was just wondering the same thing, but was going to use Alltel's PRL to force to EVDO then switch back when I was in an area where Sprint had EVDO.

Re: Diamond roaming
Is this cab to enable the Roam Only option under Services > Roaming? What I need is a small program to run when I want to switch between Automatic and Roam Only. Also, for those that want to do the registry thing manually, doing exactly this, in this order worked perfectly on my Sprint Diamond: Under HKLM\Software\OEM\PhoneSetting Change AllowRoaming to 0 (it's probably already 0) Under HKLM\Software\OEM\PhoneSetting\NetworkService Change ItemCount to 3 (instead of 2) Create a new String called ItemName3 with the value of "Roam Only" (without quotes) Create a new DWord called ItemValue3 with a value of 3 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\InitProv\PhoneSett ing change ItemCount to 3 New string: ItemName3 Value- Roaming. New Dword: ItemValue3 Value- 3 Pretty sure you don't even need to reset, but do it just in case. |
