Is there a program for the diamond to allow it to be set to roam only instead of automatic mode

i dont understand roaming is when your not on your home network. this would cause issues with signal in your home territory

more than likely it will be a registry edit... to enable it in phone options...

Since it has WM6.1, then I would guess its a simple registry hack to give you the roam only option.

It's in the registry, I don't remember where though.
Check the vogue threads maybe.

As for why, some other carriers have better signal / technology in some areas as opposed to the home network, ie: by going home only they might get 4 bars of rev a instead of just 4 bars of rev 0.

most Sprint plans include unlimited roaming (as long as you dont go over a threshold continually) :D
