Re: Can the black camera shroud be removed from the Burgundy back?

Bluetooth headset
and then if you need to pull the phone out, just hold it so that no camera part is visible (hand covering back). Keep in in the case at other times on your belt or something.

Most places that are going to have a requirement that your phone doesn't have a camera is going to go ahead and look and see if it does or not.

Picture without tape, picture with tape on inside of back. Still a pretty obvious circle on the back.

Yeah, which is why I think I have to cover it on the outside with some vinyl.

Umm, just to be clear, in these kind of workplaces, bringing a camera-phone is grounds for dismissal. So, no, the security guards are not so stupid.

This is a two-point modification:
1) modify outside so that it doesn't look like it has a camera to avoid questions
2) actually remove the camera so that under scrutiny, it doesn't appear to have such capability.

The objective here is not to deceive.

Yes, on the Telus Diamond it said (Telus 3.2 Mebapixels) Its held on by glue bro. Go nuts. Just to let you know even after you remove it, you would have an IQ of 1, to not know there is a camera.

If i were you , i would just leave the phone in the car. If you get busted with the phone or if someone rats you out. Can't you be fired

The objective is not to deceive?

The rules state no camera phones?
Cover whatever you want with anything you want, the Diamond is still a camera phone.

Yup. Policies vary. In my case, demonstration to security that the device will not take pictures due to removal of the lens unit has been deemed satisfactory. YMMV. I will certainly void my device warranty, but my alternative is one of a few Blackberry models.
