Ok, sorry to open my mouth. I guess I need to become more of a cellphone geek before I talk. I will just troll around all the speculation...or wait until it shows up in the store.

Thanks for the information. I checked my sprint.com account and found out that I am currently qualifying for $75 upgrade discount. If I can wait to next April, I will be able to get $150 upgrade discount.

If the sero plan can be extended, I will not wait another 7 months to get the $75 discount.

ok my boy at sprint told me that you can go into the store on the 14th and order it, but its direct shipment, better off using telesales, cuz the stores won't have stock of them til the 28th...

Before the 14th They are getting 1-2 diamonds sent to the stores depending on the store, obviously its atleast one for the advocate... fortunately, my buddy's store is a corporate center, so they get 2 and HE HAS TALKED TO EVERY EMPLOYEE THERE AND THEY AGREED ON GIVING ME ONE!!! Well, sellin me one WOOT WOOT!

this is legit.. believe me or not, but i get the word str8 outta my good friend of 10yrs' mouth. He calls me off his work(sprint store's) phone.

1. It's Direct Ship and it means that they ship it to your address.

2. He will get fired even if he tells everyone to agree to give you one. Stores are not allowed what so ever to sell something if its not available to the public. I have not seen one store manager sell a phone to even family if they wanted a phone.

3. Why would he call you on his store phone? Is he talking to you in front of everyone? oh man

this guy has a good point why would your friend risk losing his job just over a phone?

LOL...Maybe the guy is leaving Sprint anyway?...hahaha.

I dunno, same question popped up in my head about someone risking their job and that's the only answer I could come up with.

Risking your job for the Diamond is too much.But for the Touch Pro, Makes you think. But kidding aside, we need to be patient here. The Diamond and Pro are both good phones but both are not giant leaps over the current winmo phones. Sure, accelorometers are cool but nothing to die for.Sure hi rez vga screen is nice eye candy but we can wait. And ok,auto focus is really nice, but a steady hand fixes that. I have learned that patience is not too bad if you already have a Touch or Mogul or Kaiser. But if this is going to be your 1st ppc and comming from a flip phone, then you feel like a giddy kid on Christmas. Man, I cant wait!

The only problem is that you aren't waiting for just a 75 dollar Rebate, it's also the additional 150 dollars in rebates that will not be extended to you unless you are 2 years in. Alas, I will probably not wait either.

it's hard to be patient when your using a bad iphone mock up the instinct i mean that phone is cool for people who like touch screens and simplicity but for a geek like myself i need a new phone and i wanted this phone before the instinct so its hard to wait!

Ohh, trust me.... I understand. I did play with the Instinct and laughed hysterically inside the Sprint store. One employee just looked at me weird. I had a 6700, mogul, and currently my Touch. By far the 6700 was the best with winmo 5. No memory issues like the mogul. Sprint gave me a Touch since I complained about the constantly low ram on it. So i kept it and really have suffered without the physical kb. But now, I am excited too for the Diamond but really, I am going for the Pro. And yes, I cannot wait too.... every morning I think about it. I feel for you... that instinct is just terrible.
