WOW is there really no end to this fandroid idiocy? i mean DAMN! if you have something negative to say about WM and use it as an excuse to goto android keep it to yourself. this may be the phone that alot of us were looking forward to. i remember alot of people saying that they were always wanting a tp2 with those specs you listed, i think its great . its a shame that u have to come in here with that garbage. WHO GIVES A DAMN if it will be outdated, it is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to be totally up to date because everytime u buy a phone something better comes out immediately after so i guess ur beloved EVO is outdated too. but i dont hear u trashing it. maldito tipejo imbecil!!get the hell out of here with ur garbage

Hmmm I won't trash the TP2, I liked that phone. But I did say I wanted to give the android a chance. At least till Christmas. Then after that if I still feel the same way I do now, I will go back to my TP2. Bought the HTC Desire to check it out (USCC only has the Desire and the Acclaim) and I am not impressed with it yet. Battery doesn't last a whole day, the back of it can get really HOT. It takes me forever to find "Apps" that match what I had on the TP2 and the fact that I can't install the apps to the SD card, makes my 16gb class 6 card useless except to hold music and a few programs that use it for storage. But I was running out of room installing everything to the phone. I wouldn't mind too much if the phone had 4 or 8gbs built in, but 576mb can run out quickly. My phone shows only 18mb left!!!

You are switching from winmo whether you go WP7 or Android...WP7 != winmo...so yes a lot of people would like to get a TP2 with those specs..but in having a TP2 winmo is what is desired, not particularly wp7.

That said everyone wants the best that is available...its always the case..next year we will probably all be hording 2ghz processors and etc...

And yes EVO is outdated already as there are many devices out that have similar or better specs. Right now in terms of hardware SGS is king..and will probably remain so until Android releases Gingerbread with Cortex A9 support. Or if WP7 has cortex A9 support and releases a phone with it.

But I'm at least glad HTC stayed with the 5 row keyboard..and I am curious as how that sliding/tilting mechanism works...it looks a bit different then then TP2 :/

First let me tell you as the OP of the thread my intent was not to glorify android. Im really hesitant towards android ( I had a stock EPIC and took it back) I was hoping for WP7 to be the answer to my prayers I have a tp2 now but i want a bigger screen and better processor, GO look at the hundreds and thousands of threads of people asking for a tp2 form factor with a 4.3 or 4.1 inch screen and a tilting keyboard. To be honest I dont care if you give me win 6.5 as long as you give me 4.3 inch htc tilting keyboard with a msm8260 chipset Im going to dual boot it anyway. SPRINT and HTC FAILED EPICALLY with this TP7. I have people on the inside and these specs are final and this is considered a flagship wp7 world device, along with the launch being in the first week of march. Theres something about android i just dont like but with lackluster devices I might have to reconsider because early rumors on the EVO 2 are 1.3 ghz msm8260 releasing MARCH. HTC PLEASE GET YOUR $H!T together.

I'm willing to give it a try... Since WP7 will not have true multitasking... The Ram should not be that much of an issue.
This is gonna be the first release... I will get it at release... Then since I'm a premier customer... I will upgrade one year later. I love the look and the fact that it has a keyboard just like the one I'm used to. The screen size is fine. If I want to watch any bigger I can go to my netbook... Bigger... Living room.

Yeah... It's a very cool phone. I love my keyboard and am glad that Sprint will be taking care of my needs.
I have one year after my upgrade to figure out what else comes out and if I want to go to a larger screen or just keep my phone.
I'm done with Winmo 6.5 though. I hate the lack of cool apps. Pandora (even though I have it... the sound sucks) I heart radio, and everyting else out there that's available for iphone and rim. Like the Justin.tv app and others like that.
