completely agree, its just a fast tp2 imo with a os that may need more tweaking that tp2 did/does. im a huge wp fan but this first release isnt it for me.

This happens every time Sprint launches a Windows phone. People jump on the forum and say "too little, too late". TP2 has most of the same specs as the TP1 and got hammered on the forums before it came out, yet look at the praise it has gotten recently. I say wait and see. None of us has seen it in action, let alone held one and used it. I reserve my judgement until someone has spent considerable time with an actual, working device, and so should the rest of you "spec haters".

Two questions

1. Everyone that likes the device asks us tech heads why do we bash the phone can any of you lovers of this lame excuse of a device tell me why you like it so much knowing it will be outdated out-speced, out-classed and just a waste of two years of technology.

2. Can the mods please move this thread to the htc wm phones bank no one really comes down this far in the page to see wp7 phones due to various reasons, this is a mostly cdma website and 90 % of the phones in the wp7 are gsm which is not really relevant. Just look at the number of views and responses in comparison to the entire bank, almost 97 percent of the attention to this device please put this in the other bank. Plus its the touch pro 3 in theory it should be under the touch pro 2 anyway. Please Please move this thread the only way to make a difference is for people to gain the knowledge and complain to their providers and down here its a limited amount of views. I know you the mods might feel different but look at the number of view from when it was in the other bank vs this bank. Make a new column in the other bank TOUCH PRO 3 (wm pro 7). If you build it they will come. PLEASE

If people are interested in WP7 they will come to the section...this is in no way the successor of the TP2 as the OS is completely different...realistically speaking if an Epic 4g thread gets moved into the EVO 4g forum it will get more views...but that doesn't mean it belongs there...The topic of the thread is a bash of another phone and so far the time it spent in the TP2 section or this entire thread has been a bash on the device in general..I see no reason to have a bash of another phone in the TP2 section...it makes no sense...but its darrens call..

Well ive already stated my reasons for why I like the phone in numerous post by now but in general the form factor is similar to the tp2 and it has enough specs to (most likely) do what I would want it to do. HD Camera /w flash, Fast OS, Fast enough Processor, Tilting screen, FM Radio, possible 16 gb compared to 8 on other devices, XBox Live, Netflix Streaming, Zune capability, Exchange connectivity...I could go on but to me this is more then enough reason to buy the phone.

Just cause I like the device doesnt mean im not a tech head. Im just looking at the bigger picture as to why "I" like the device and why I think it doesnt make sense to bash a phone before even the os of the phone in released. Example is I got a 5 Series 2000 BMW and it like the car very much but want to purchase a new car. The 2 new cars coming is the rumored 2011 M5 and a 2011 5 series. Both cars have new engines but naturally the M5 is faster with more speed features. Well if I never have a chance to drive it over the speed limit of 60 and the 5 series has other features I like about it over the M5 then why not buy the 5 series? I just dont understand why the guys that want to spend the extra to get the M5 or Lambo or whatever would bash the 5 series for coming out with less specs.

Ive already used other supposedly better phones then my TP2. I had a chance to own a droid incredible, a droid X, the fascinate, trial period with Epic, Palm Pre Plus, Droid 2, Even the iPhone 3Gs. I always felt myself returning to the TP2 at the end of the day. Call me crazy but for me its no longer about just specs. Its what I want my phone to do and thats it..maybe im just getting old but until I see another VERY similar device with better specs than this one (Tilting screen with 5 row keyboard coupled with the specs above) then ill see this is my buy. At this point though you can continue to bash the phone as much as you want I was just saying there will be people that will like the phone and bashing it seems unnecessary. If its not what you want then why not just post about what you want that is coming rather then bash something that hasnt even had a chance to make it out of the door.
