I have been running this PRL For a while now. Initially it caused a false EVDO signal indication in Mobile AL. I contacted tech support and they were supposed to get back with me, never happened.
However, after 2 months at looking at the EV but browsing on 1x...... seems the tower went up TODAY!!! It's like I got a new phone now thanks to EVDO! |

I can confirm this is the process on the mogul and is also how i did it on the Apache.
FYI - for those of you who cannot access the DIAL codes (##codes) from your phone you can access the program via windows/epst.lnk Then when the "View, Edit, Exit" menu pops up you are in the program. Also Important - If you want to improve your overall network performance you need to change your "Access Overload Code" found in your NAM settings. This is predetermined by the last digit of your MIN (Phone #) which is a practice started years ago. The higher the number the lower your network priority access meaning if it gets busy your the first to get dropped. Make it a habit not to go lower than 2 as Emergency Services keeps 0 + 1 for them. Believe me you want cops and firemen to have priority network access when its needed!

I have WM 6 and I blew out the Ext 2. All I did was put the 20229.prl into my Windows folder, went into ##778# as EDIT, went to the PRL page and put the full path to the PRL into the new PRL path. The built in path browse function did not seem to work so I just typed Windows/20229.prl and let it reset. Voila, I have a new PRL. BTW - The MSL Generator being passed around did not create the correct MSL. It was 1 digit off. I called Sprint and had a tech gen it for me. It is good info to have. |
