good one eh? I'm a CSR for alltel...so if you have basic q's I will do what I can. I just got the apache last week so I'm still learning it. Seems though there's plenty of ppc geeks who have a lot on me in the tech field!

Best way to update PRL is ##775, not ##778. ##775 is actually ##PRL.

Is the 40029 prl workable with WM5? I have the 6700.

How would I find the .prl file to update it?

OK first off I did something smart followed by something dumb. I upgraded my ppc6700 (alltel) from mobile 5 to mobile 6 through the site. The dumb thing i did was neglect to follow the instructions correctly. I didnt reset the phone before installing it. It said it installed fine on the computer but the screen on my ppc was black. Now it wont turn on at all or be recognized when i try to sync it. Please HELP!!! Now i feel foolish and am wondering if there is anyway to fix it or is it my new $300 door stop?

I have a question, I have been using the Apache for a few months now, and I love it. I bought a used VZW XV6700 and installed the Alltel PRL and activated it on my Alltel line. I also flashed it to Alltel WM6 ROM and everything worked great, I really loved the look of the black XV6700 over the Alltel silver.

The other day my phone fell off my desk with the USB cable plugged in, and broke the USB port off inside. I am about to buy a new in box Alltel 6700 from ebay, and I was curious to know, what exactly comes with the phone in the box? I never received the box with my Verizon model, but I got the cradle, USB cable, wall charger, car charger, and stylus from the guy I bought it from.

I noticed that Alltel sells the cradle in the store for $99, so does that mean that it does not come in the box? Also does the Alltel version come with the leather holster?

You hold both soft keys while you press the soft reset button... JK don't do that...

First thing you would do is search for the answer, then if you cant find all the information you need, you POST A QUESTION IN THE THEMES FORUM. And then if you don't immediately get an answer, you DON'T POST IT 5 MORE TIMES...

I saw on eBay a guy that will mod (or Pimp, as he calls it) your phone for $85. He will install any software/settings you like, including WM6, or iPhone theme. It seems like he may be your best bet, so you dont mess anything up. Lucky for you, hes in South Carolina.

i have a sprint ppc 6700 that i falshed and activated on alltel, i have the phone and text working great but my data is giving me fits. I've talked to tech support 3 times and they cant seem to get me going...i think i've got my settings right but any help would be appreciated.

mobile ip i copied settings off my moto q including the aaa and ha shared secret...i also copied the 10.key as well are there some registry settings i might need to modify? I keep getting incorrect password login when trying to connect to #777...
any help would be greatly appreciated...even with just wifi i'm loving this phone over my q which i had multiple problems with..
