In general I like the rom. But I am more of a clean and simple guy. I wouldn't put a lot of stuff on. I like resco, but it is trial software and I am getting nag screens. I have a license for the last version but it won't let me install the older one. I go back and forth about the HTC today screen app. I like parts of it, but not others and it is not configurable enough. I had been using SPB Mobile shell, which is also not perfect. I do like the big clock, but overall it takes too much space on the screen.

For those who want to add their own city to the weather app and don't mind a little legwork, look in the software forum here for emunutz's Home Plugin Customizer app. Among many other things it has an easy interface for adding any city you want to the weather app (you can still only select one at a time though).

I wanna say something. I'm gonna put it out there; if you like it, you can take it, if you don't, send it right back. I want to be able to use the newer arcsoft MMS in the new WM6 kitchen...otherwise...love it. superstable, superfast, supercool

Mixed bag...

Overall I am really thrilled with the WM6 ROM, been playing with it all day since flashing it this morning. I am pretty much a C&S guy myself, preferring the basics (eg prefer TC over all the resco stuff) but I liked playing around with software I was not familiar with. The HTC TODAY needs to be more customizable. I have been a big fan of TCPMP, but this version is a little funky. Games can go.

It is really amazing that the WM6 came about at all, salud to Helmi.

I am really looking forward to a C&S kitchen soon.

ok.. my 2 cents..

deepfish, would love to try it, can't get it activated, and it is still a beta, it is going to have several upates and ew versions, shouldnt be on the ROM as it is wasting storage space.

Yahoo GO and Live Search, if these get updated, you can't update them on your PPC, you have to install them a second time, since you can't upgrade the stuff in the ROM, I dont even use Yahoo anyway, so again, wasting space.

Way too many games. I dont play many games on my PPC, be nice if they were all released as a cab file to isntall seperaretly, again... wasting space.

Resco file explorer, great, I use this... but since it is in the rom, I can't update it without a redundant installation. shouldnt be in the rom, as not everyone may want to use it since you have to buy it, and if it gets updated, the duplicate install will be a space waster.

Removing the built in Voice dail software because some people don't like it and the only replacement is a program you have to pay $40 for... I would like to have the option to keep the simple voice dialer, it wasn't great, but it was free and it worked.

For those that went back to the old dialer through the registry edit. If you find you're missing a "back/delete" button on your dialpad, just unzip this file to \Windows and replace as necessary. It's the images from the "Crossbow Dialer" in the 1.04 kitchen. I just included them all because I didn't stop to check which ones got overwritten when I copied them. But after a softreset I have all the buttons.

PS: I'll probably start working on a "Classic" mode for TDial Designer too so all you using the old dialer can customize.

I have to agree. I own Resco, and had to update. What a waste of memory.
Tried updating TCPMP, I already own CorePlayer. TCPMP in the rom doesn't work.
I uninstalled the update, even though it worked to get video, and the one built in doesn't, because I don't want to waste memory on that.
