Alot of the Id's that have been floating around have been deactivated by MS. Just send them an email to get into their BETA.. I did and got my own key, still activated, and although I'd like to share it.. I dont want to get it deactivated so I am keeping it to myself. =P

To get rid of the dialer, just go to HKLM\Security\Phone\skin and disable the dialer skin.

I would like to vote for the O2 manager program. I particularly like the appointment display of all of the days so you know when you are free. HTC only shows the next two appointments.
Total Commander is good enough for me. You can keep Resco. I also like Map4PDA. I assume that this will all be addressed in the new kitchen. Speaking of the new kitchen, would it be possible to have it set up in two areas? One required and the other Optional? thanks for the new rom. |

I don't really care for the Windows Live and the Yahoo, myself. Also, when I was messing with the WM6 emulation I noticed that by default WM6 has Windows Update. I would like to see that included.... Just my two cents.

Thoughts on the stuff in Helmi's WM6:
First off, it's a good mix. There are a few things I don't need or don't want, but very little. Most of it really adds nicely to the experience. Dial pad I installed the refined version of the Touch dialer recently released by Paul Hammonds, which fixes a few problems with the version in ROM, namely the Vision arrows not going dormant and 911 calls. It's also fully skinnable if you don't like the look, and takes up a whopping 200k or so of storage, so there's no reason not to install it. File Explorer Love this, and use it instead of Total Commander now. The only thing it doesn't do that TC did was edit the registry, but I get that via SKTools anyway, so I don't need TC at all. I don't use Resco, so I deleted those shortcuts. Like Luv2Chill said, out of sight, out of mind. TCPMP/YouTube Works great for me with the new 1.2 version of the flash codecs from TreoCentral. To avoid the delays in loading the YouTube site itself, I use the pocket-sized version: http://ytpocket.com HTC stuff Love all this stuff, added it to my own ROMs based on Helmi's kitchen. Audio Manager in particular is great in that it uses far less RAM than WMP and auto-updates its library. I also installed the Home Customizer to my card. Games I kept Mines, the MS stuff, Crosswords and Kevtris, deleted the shortcuts to the rest. All in all, this is so close to the ROM I would build (with the stuff I've installed to my ExtROM partition), that I can wait as long as it takes for a kitchen. |

- Hate shareware apps that need keys bundled in the ROM, total commander would have been a great free choice instead of rosco
- Things that have frequent updates rolled out like the Live search stuff probably also should not be baked in. - I liked the included dial pad, other than the issue with the arrows - Don't like the Extended Rom unlocked and visible as it screws up many apps as they see it as the first storage card - Calc lite seems like a good app - the included games where good almost all around |

Almost forgot
Under Settings - New Menu for WM5 - Soft Keys These both alter soft key modes and appear to break normal functions of the soft keys. I highly suspect they are the reason the Simple pin unlock key doesn't work if you are not quick to unluck after a soft reset. |
