can't update ROM, now STUCK in Bootloader

HAd to get a new phone.

Once I got it I instantly wanted to re flash my ROM back to Saridnours

downloaded the utility and tried to flash but kept getting the error 150 about not having the correct device.

AND I was using the MAupdate_no id.

Then...instead of putting in Bootloader mode first, I left it on regular screen and it got past that hangup fine,

HOWEVER,

I then got the error 120 the dreaded unable to connect error.

Interestingly, doing it this way, the ROM upgrade put the phone in BL mode by itself. Unfortunately now my phone is stuck there.

Can't hard reset, cant do anything.

I tried the mtty utility as well as the Uniexitbootloader utility without success.

I've also tried 3 different USB cables, but mtty has no USB as a port option and UNI_exit BL cannot connect to USB port.....yes i have disabled this in Active sync....

I am at wits end....what do I do now?????

The upgrade utility is supposed to put the phone in bootloader automatically. It always does for me.
But as far as i know, there is nothing that you can do to the 6700 via software that makes it impossible to hard reset.

Thanks for replying blazing.....

Unfortunately, I did all those measures B4 posting.

The mtty utility is what wideawake mentions on that page....as I mentioned in the first post, when I tried that, I do not get an option for USB under the port menu Only Com1 and Com 2.

Somone later down the page has the same problem and switched USB cables with some success....no luck for me...made no difference

You'll see on that page that they also refer to an XDA page discussing the same problem. That's where I came up with the Uniexbootloader utility. Again, as I mentioned in the first post, this TOO, did not work for me. Uni cant connect to the USB port.......

I guess its worth mention that I alsio tried 3 different USB ports on my desktop.

I can hard reset to "clear data' but when it says enter 'y' to restart, I immediately go back to the bootloader screen....

What's the NEXT step....anyone with any more ideas?!?!?!?!

This is making me very SAD

Try flashing the stock rom first. If you dont have this, it can be found at http://www.utstar.com/pcd/phone_down...zon%20Wireless
Also, it might be better if you come in the chat room if this doesnt work so we can try and help you 1 on 1 rather than say try this then wait for you to post.
Hopefully this works for you. Good luck.

Also, try using the 1.0.4 kitchen after the stock rom flash (if that doesnt work). I know its not a huge deal, but the kitchen uses different flash exe's instead of the MAUpdrage. But flashing to the stock rom is definitely your best bet. Plus, Saridnour's rom is kind of outdated and the new kitchen does all of the same things his rom does (or you can add your own oems for programs it doesnt include) plus it includes updated drivers and programs.
Just a suggestion.

Thanks everyone for the thoughtful replies.

Firstly thanks for the replies AND the help in the chat room. Unfortunately I remain where I have been -stuck in bootloader without any recourse

I tried the stock rom....keep getting connection error.

I tried swithching cables....no dice

Apparently, with my ppc in this mode, Active sync cannot see it, so none of the ROMs work. My ppc DOES change from Serial to USB when plugged, I just don't think this is two-way communication.

Same thing with the mtty and Uniexitbootloader utilities, they just don't SEE my PPC.

Any more thoughts?????
