oh how I remember the days.

1) Read and learn about you device

2) jump head first into the kitchen

Really the guys here have made it ALMOST impossible to mess up the kitchen. Download the kitchen and go through the readme file several time. The hardest time I had was figuring out what programs I wanted. Don't be scared, give it a shot. Its worse than smoking; its harder to stop

the newest is 3.5.1.0.3 I think

Also, before you start building from the kitchen you might want to check out the 1.03 bugs thread to see what problems other people have run into already and how to fix them.

Another thread you might want to look at is this one.

It will give an idea of what some of guys here have been able to do to the 6700. These guys are really good at developing and altering things to make them usable and stable. I would definitely read the manual pakaged with the kitchen. I would also download the factory flash from Utstar.com for your carrier. Keep that on your computer because you may brick your phone and need to flash back to the factory or if you have to take it to your carrier for service. If you have questions try searching first, because most problems have been discussed here already. And have fun because it is very addictive.

You have to be pretty careless to brick it.
