Arcsoft 4.04 MMS - Page 4

ive been playing around with versions 4.2.8.1, 3.5.1.5, and 4.0.31.23 and i cant get ANYTHING to work.... ive tried modifying the registry her and there.....

for versions 4.2 and 3.5, when i select "New" to compose a new MMS, it does nothing, and puts an blank message in the Drafts folder....

for 4.0, i can set up a message right, it'll connect to #777, but the message just wont leave the outbox.....

i did find one thing interesting.... one of the registry settings had a connection somewhere defaulted to "ChinaMobile"..... hmmmmmm.....

i also found that helmi had a patch for 3.5.1.23...... or a patch to upgrade 3.5.1.5 to this?

anytime i run a cab for arcsoftMMS, it removes my old MMS and shows nothing. the patch did nothing for me. what arcsoft does the titan have? 4? can we get it from there to make it work somehow? hmmmm. helmi has done this once...we must find our master...lead us...

helmi's never worked, that is why it was pulled from the kitchen PRIOR to release. re-read the thread and you will see that he "accidently" pulled a GSM one. some people claimed they got it to work, only later to admit that they did not.

Helmi had one that gave this error

Warning: Version is not supported

whenever you would send a msg and it would idle in the outbox. It was something that many of us on the kitchen team tried to work out for many days until we realized that the newer versions dont support the CDMA network. it kinda sucks but im sure that verizon will have a phone out soon with the most updated arcsoft that is out at the time of release. Sit tight, as soon as we get a cdma version well get it on this phone!

i know...just i use his R4 release with the updated MMS and it does work. I even added an updated OEM he has on the ftp to the 1.03 release and it worked perfect except a problem with playing the video files. not sure why it only works for me, wierd, but it always has. so i know it can work atleaset

The version not supported error that Helmi's MMS Composer gave, I believe is Sprint's equivalent of the "Originator Address Not Found" error Verizon users get. This is a result of X-VzW-MDN missing from the header, which can be solved in the registry by simply adding it to one of the keys in the Arcsoft subregistry, with a value of your phone number.

The way to tell most easily if it is a header problem is by checking to see if you can still receive messages. If you can, chances are, you simply need to add a value to the registry.

It sounds like Versions 3.5 and 4.* are having a different problem, however, as they can not even connect. I have never seen this before, I am about to try installing the various versions over my current 3.0.6.26, and if that does not work, I will build 4.* in to a new ROM, I need to update to Helmi's 1.03 anyway.

Don't waste your time trying to install over it... It's useless.... Nothing works....

The only thing i didnt try is cooking them into a new rom... if you give that a try, pleeeease post your results... i dont want to spend several hours re-customizing my settings and options again after flashing a new rom just to try it.....

o... and i did try to cook it into a rom, but when i ran BUILDOS, selected it and hit start, it came up with an error saying it's missing some text file for the mms oem.... ill try to get more details later..

any luck? wish there was a way to get the MMS out or figure out why it works on his R4 and get it so i can use it on this new rom....ahhhh...so annoying.

i just opened up the r4 release, and i only see OEM_VERIZON_MMS.3.0.6.24_FileSupport_Dshow_Common_ Mhub

this is the same stock version number thats in every other rom.... i dont understand why your saying this is an update...

opps...its the R3...helmi_APACHE_2.60.10_WWE_R3...you get MMS Composer Version 3.5.1.23. my bad, i appologize. but i cant get to an oem, cause its just the nk.nbf file and all that, no oem folder.
