I'm a Verizon user as well and I haven't had any issues with the time synch. Once I went into the phone settings and actually enabled the feature to synch the time with my carrier, it's been fine. I do notice that the time reverts right after a soft reset to 12:00 on February 2, 2006, but it immediately changes after it has a chance to synch with the tower which is only a matter of seconds.
Well, after a *228 my time sync happens much quicker now. Last night, I couldn't even get the *228 to work (which I thought might have been another bug...), but it turns out Verizon was doing some maintenance -- so it confused things. I think that whole thing might have been part of my problem. Seems okay now.

This was not an invitation to bother Bepe. Please don't try to contact him...we already have the request in.

spb weather issue

I have an issue with spb weather. When my phone reboots, I can see all of the temperatures for the cities I chose. When I go to spb weather options, the view tab doesn't show the temperatures. Then back on the spb weather tab in spb shell, the temperatures disappear. When I reset the phone, they appear again. Does anyone know what can be causing this?

I'm also having the time issue. It syncs with the network so it displays correctly after about 5 - 10 seconds after a reboot.

Interestingly enough, the buttons work as they should with ArcSoft MMS removed. I'm not sure why that is unless the HTC Home application is coded to use the first message source listed alphabetically (i.e. MMS comes before Outlook)?

I can't think of any other reason why having MMS installed would mess with the HTC Home application.

Thanks for all the follow through on this, Dwimmerlaik.

If you look in the mxip_MMS_306.provxml file of the ArcSoft MMS OEM you should see where the mailbox name is set. Try using a different name and let us know if that fixes this issue.

Kolano I have already fixed for the new kitchen anyway... just renamed the opt file to something else and rename back to opt with initflashfiles. Tested and working. Thanks for the tip on that.

Thanks on the resolution confirmation. That just leaves the SBP Weather, and ArcSoft MMS/HTC Home issues unresolved, presuming "HTC home 6tab" and the "WMP plugin" can be repackaged to resolve the DLL conflict.

colonel has fixed the HTC Home app to default the e-mail button to the last account used. There's really no way to customize those apps that is feasible for the end user. Making changes requires hex editing the dll.

As for SPB Weather, I defer on that to people that use that app and whoever made the OEM (was it gguru or jbabey or someone else?). Please try it both as a sep plugin as well as a tab in Mobile Shell and Pocket Plus--is the behavior the same regardless?
