Does the newest release of Xpuscalar work with our devices?

I have seen a lot of negative reports of it actually consuming more battery than just the phone itself.

I'm basically looking to underclock my phone while reading e-books. Is there a better solution that out there for automatic adjustment of the CPU for the 6700 when not being heavily used?

I doubt we'll ever see an overclocking program that will burn LESS battery power.

No program can disable our phone's scaling. The advantage that XCPUScalar has when OVERclocking - is that the program will hibernate when you're not actively using the phone. So it won't kill too much of your battery.

In short - unless a program proves that it can disable our scaling, only use an overclocking program if you need more speed.

Yeah, I used it for a while to underclock while i wasnt doing anything, but my battery life went way own. I would lose about 30% by just sitting there all night not doing anything (thats with bluetooth/wifi off).

Does anyone know the range that the Apache CPU throttles between. Is it 50-416, 108-416, etc.

It would be nice to be able to take the phone on a long flight and be able to read a book on it. As is I just plan on taking a book and store the phone.

The maximum I've been able to take it up to is 620.
Any higher then that and you start to notice issues.

Thats odd, With the new-er Xcpuscalar Ive actually doubled my battery life, it seems to work great for me when I have it set to idle at 208mhz...

The only times our unit disables autoscaling is when it is plugged into external power, or using camera mode, or when using VJLumosII (high brightness prog).
I used to set a overclock speed, turn on Lumos proggy, then close the either overclock program and Lumos will hold the overclocked speed untill turn off or sleep mode.

Hopefully this newer version will adresses the fact that all our units can handle a higher Bus speed(260) which makes as much or more difference that just the overclock speed, which alot of newer units cannot handle. older units were able to pass 620Mhz but now my newer unit will not reach this speed unless I manually adjust with Pocket Hack Master, which allows more tinkering but not as safe as Xcpuscalar .

I had mainly given up on overclocking now but sometimes can come in handy.

Thats the funny part that happened with mine, XCPUscalar underclocked my CPU just fine, and when hooked up to the cradle, it would do the opposite of what you described, it would lock the CPU at 420mhz when plugged into USB... After removing it from the cradle, it would drop back down to its set idle speed of 208mhz...

Is there an app that shows just the current CPU speed setting? I know Xpuscaler shows the speed it has the CPU set at. I'd like to see what range our built-in scalers are operating at to compare with the power usage of Xpuscalar.
