I doubt we'll ever see an overclocking program that will burn LESS battery power.

No program can disable our phone's scaling. The advantage that XCPUScalar has when OVERclocking - is that the program will hibernate when you're not actively using the phone. So it won't kill too much of your battery.

In short - unless a program proves that it can disable our scaling, only use an overclocking program if you need more speed.
