new Sprint 20229 prl.

Hello everyone,

I finally got a Sprint CS person that new what he was doing and sent me a prl update yesterday. When I checked it on my 6700 I noticed it was version 20229. If someone can tell me if there is a way to copy it off of my 6700 to my pc I will post it for everyone.

Thanks for the heads up. I've attached it. Should be up on corolada soon too.

BTW I can confirm that the *2 PRL download method worked fine first try with the kitchen-built ROM. Those of you using custom skins (the ones that aren't included in the kitchen) may have issues with it though.

I just updated my prl through teir 2 support even though the guy asked me all kinds of strange questions wanting to know why i wanted my prl updated.

What does this update do to your phone>

This update adds the roaming triangle when roaming, but when i try to check my voicemail when in roaming it just calls my phone number instead of checking my voicemails. Also i havent been able to data roam at all. I get a error message everytime.

Revert back to 20227 (if you need the file go to www.corolada.com/prl) and see if that fixes both of your issues.

I was under the impression that (at least with Sprint) it is normal for your phone to dial its own number to get your voicemail. When it dialed your number did it not immediately connect you with your voicemail box?

As for data roaming, that's going to be very location specific. I downloaded 20229 OTA earlier this morning and data roaming is working fine for me. So is voicemail.

BTW, I hope this was obvious but just in case--this PRL is for Sprint ONLY. Don't install this if you're on any other carrier.

The latest 3.3/3.5 kitchen added the roaming triangle for me... the 20xxx series PRL AFAIK don't add support for the triangle - otherwise we would be using PRL's numbered 60xxx instead. I could be wrong... but like I said it was the new ROM that made mine change.

I live in Indiana and when I called CSR earlier this evening it automatically detected an update was needed for my phone. I'm assuming it was this.
