I second sykosoft's points. Please keep MSVC. Also, with threaded SMS not handling MMS and it not playing happily with MSVC, I've gotten to the point where I'd rather just use the normal messaging app. It's too much a pain in the @ss to get the pics that are sent to me onto my phone.

I did not know that MSVC can read back your SMS messages. Thats pretty cool.

Also, does anyone know that program the battery meter up top is associated with and how to disable it. Thanks.

Okay, so I installed this ROM a few days ago, and love it. The Mario sounds are actually growing on me.
I'm only having 1 issue so far. It's with my bluetooth GPS. I decided to try out Microsoft live search. It works great with my GPS. I love being able to use the map look, or satellite look. The directions work better than Google's. Anyways, everything works great, until the screen times out. Basically, I had the phone on battery power, so the screen will time out after a few minutes. When it times out, the bluetooth turns off. so, when I hit the standby button to bring the screen back on, I have to manually start up bluetooth again. This only seems to happen when I'm using the GPS. It doesn't happen if I'm only using my headset. It does the same thing with Google Maps. TomTom works fine, because it doesn't let the phone go into a standby mode.
Has anyone else tried out this ROM with a bluetooth GPS while on battery and using live search?

see if this helps any of you guys w/ SMS issues and ill update the kitchen to force this change.

The MMS package was made by luv2chill (if you read the notes i pulled mine) but if my own package does not suffer these issues i will revert back in my next build, lemme know!

so far all i really have for building is this
log file growth
comm manager file sizes
pimbackup to v2.5 (up from 2.4)
removing MSVC all togethor cuz its a pile of garbage (still debating)
Would be cool to include the HTC home plug with 3-button that we now have working:

I think I heard in one of the other threads this is phone weaver. Disable that and see if you can make the change. It could be Slide2Unlock if you use that as well.

Again, most 'bugs' people find are with apps not interacting well, and not this (or any) rom.
its none of the above... it happens with no apps installed after playing with settings, on this build of the kitchen and directly from the bell south rom that the kitchen is derived from... its really annoying and I have yet to figure out a way to get rid of it and have been trying for days. Im surprised more people arent complaining about it.

i think few people complain because most of us use other applications to control such things. I use phonealarm myself, many use phoneweaver or wmprofiler. take your pic theres a dozen or so out there.

I dunno about that htchome thing, its kinda clunky and takes up a lot of real estate. I have been looking at the mobile shell, but interaction with other spb apps is awkward, i read a fix but to busy right now to keep flashing my phone to see if its working.

I thought it might be a nice alternative, as it does weather, eliminating the need for the weather panel if people want, and possibly helping alleviate the battery drain.

Having a problem on Verizon with MMS (I did all the things mentioned in the install instructions). Also I changed HLKM\Comm\Cellular\SMS\Protocol\Text from HTC_SMS_Providers.dll to SMS_Providers.dll per messages I saw in this forum.

Here is the issue. If I soft reset my phone, all MMS messages goto the ThreadedSMS application. Video messages come in as only pics, so I cannot get the video. Pictures seem to work mostly.

If I open up the other MMS program (inside of Outlook) and then leave it open then all MMS messages will now come to that inbox and I can view all pix and flix messages just fine.

Other than opening the other MMS application after every soft reset (poutlook is already in the startup section, but this workaround doesn't work until I manually open it up and it shows in the task manager) is there a way to force MMS to outlook and bypass the ThreadedSMS application?

Thanks

It could be Spb pocket plus. I built my own rom from the kitchen with that in it. If you have pocket plus on your 6700 then goto setting/Spb pocket plus. When you open it you will see check boxes. Just uncheck taskbar battery indicator.
