Sounds to me like you might have a buggy plugin somewhere. If you put some plugins in your kitchen, you might try taking them out, reflash, then install the plugins one at a time so you can test them individually for a few days. Most of the problems I've encountered were because of a plugin. Just my 2 cents...

I am downloading the 1.3 kitchen right now, and will be testing it shortly. I'm really excited for WM6!

Ok, I was trying a basic rollout. So all I did was go through the BUILD-OS, and pick/choose what I wanted.

Then tried CREATE ROM, and got to the point where it says, PRESS ANY KEY TO CONTINUE. I did, and each time I do, the command window just disappears.

Been using the other Kitchens ok. So what am I doing stupid?

Run the NBA-2-NBF.exe it'll need to encode the .nba file... then you're all set to flash the phone.... Unless you were greedy and put too much stuff in the build...in which case you will need to read the above couple of posts...

Arg... learning curve too much for my tired brain....

Ok,is this the sequence: ?
1) Run BuildOS
2) Create ROM
3) Encode
4) Apache Rom Upgrade

Unfortunately I get an error, that I'm using the wron g ROM UPGRADE UTILITY.
(I have an XV6700)

I just got the Mogul 3 weeks ago, and this is my first ppc. I tried clicking the link to in the first post and got a 404 error. I'm dying to do this procedure but I don't want to hose my phone. I did search for some previous threads but I could really use any guidance anyone would be willing to offer.

This is the Apache forum, so you DO NOT want to load any of these ROMs. They will do very bad things to your Mogul. Check the Titan forum for things pertaining to your device.

The Raging Idiot's Guide To ROM Building:
1.a)Click BuildOS.exe.
b)Check what you want. (default works, and is at max allowable memory... You will have to subtract something in order to add something)
c)Click the arrow to allow it to run/build.
2.a)Click CreateROM.bat
b)Just press space bar upon any pauses. If it errors, notice where it errors at and see if you can remove that program when you start back at the beginning.
3.a)Find the temp directory and copy the nk.nba and put it in the directory that the NBA-2-NBF.exe is in (which is also where the APACUpgradeUT_noID.exe is located)
b)Click the NBA-2-NBF.exe, and then click ENcode then browse for the BigJ.prj (which is in the same directory)
4.a)Back up your phone, put it in bootloader, plug in usb to pc.
b) Click APACUpgradeUT_noID.exe
c) Click upgrade/OK
5. When complete: hard reset, hit y to clear memory, then space, set it up, BUT DON'T allow customizations to take place. When it comes to the screen saying "you have 3 seconds until customization" that is when you immediately soft reset.

No prob, hope I got it all right. I was just going by what I remembered doing.

Really not sure if the new WinMo6 ROM is better than a fully customizable WinMo5 just yet. Ahh...I can't take it anymore - the ADDICTION to update is too strong.

I feel the same way about the urge to update. Now that I have, I'm unimpressed. WM6 is fast, and has a few polished edges (HTML email is a big plus for me). But most of the GUI stuff I wanted on today's release is just the HTC TODAY plug-in anyhow.

Running WM6, I have to ask myself, what's so cool about it, other than 6 is newer than 5?

But, being a techie, I thrive on being on the bleeding edge.
