Has anyone else had any trouble using MobiTV with this rom? I keep getting channel errors every time I try to connect. I had no problems before with the rom I was using before. Any ideas? Thanks for everything.

I did a search and tried what a few posts said. (Roll back the radio to 1.27.) Did a hard reset also. That didn't work either.

BigJ - A couple things to consider for the next release:

http://www.ppcgeeks.com/weatherpanel...t,weather.html

http://www.ppcgeeks.com/8-20-2007-ht...ads-t7086.html

I don't think you would want both, as they take up huge amounts of screen space, but they both have great potential. At this point, I'm voting for the weatherpanel/commuter app.

While we are waiting for BJ to do it all for us, some of you might just want to try your hand with the kitchen. Or Hemi's kitchen, or any of the new core kitchens. Its not hard to do. It is almost fool proof when close attention is given to following the steps in order. The BuildOS will not let you make something that won't work at all. It will however let you make something that will only work part of the time.
A few hints: don't try to add everything. Chose one type of home page (today screen) and add those programs that are by the same 3rd party.
For example: HTC 6-tab and all of the HTC add ins work with the games and microsoft office.
SPB items work also with the games and microsoft office.
PocketBreeze and its associated programs work well with the same.
WeatherPanel works with the latest posted version with any of the above IF you don't also include their weather programs.
However... when you have SPB, PocketBreeze and the HTC 6-tab all in the rom it just confuses the phone. Difficult to make it all work together.
I know... on my 15th flash since Aug 3rd.
All of this was written to encourage you to make a ROM, flash it, play with it. Decide what kind of PPC you need and than optimize it for your personal needs.

One additional thought:
Themes are easy to do. I've not added them to the ROM but to the empty Ext. ROM after the flashing is done and all of the personal information re-entered. Easy to try and delete if not liked. Saves a lot of re-flashing to test all of the different colors and pictures.

. It's just easier for troubleshooting when you have more people using the same ROM and working together.
Granted, maybe not as "fun" or "personalized" as we might achieve doing it all ourselves, but hey...as long as there are those out there cooking - there will be those out there consuming.
However, in this respect, there is a mutual benefit when it comes to resolving specific issues and learning about new applications.
