Just curious if you guys noticed that the files were created on april 25, 2007. Makes me wonder what they have been working on since they finished these.

Sometime after this date I would expect carrier testing began.

Has anyone tried the radio rom from this update. I'm currently using the 1.27 radio with no problems and would like to try this one because of the improvement in reception from the original. I am on alltel in a rurual area.

Well this is certainly interesting. If this resolves some of the lingering problems with BT, I'd be very happy. Can't wait for the kitchen.

I don't know how to re-encode the ROM with the correct carrier ID string. Is that just a matter of changing the carrier ID in the HTC64 tool to SPCS_001? Or is there something more to it?
I still have freezes with R4 after doing a VERY vanilla build in which I removed almost everything including cLaunch. So I'm guessing it's something in the core OS.

This rom is very fast and stable. And the bluetooth works just like it did with aku 2, which is perfect in my book. I had to actually dig up bttoggle cf1 to get the audio to my headset. Without it, running any of the new audio gateway toggles like acbtogglebt would bring up the oldschool voice speed dial app, and only send the audio to the headset for like 10 secs. Haven't had any problems with the updated radio either. One thing though, applying the reg entries to enable the wireless today screen plugin doesn't work. It shows the plugin, but its not selectable and won't bring up comm manager when you tap on it. Probably because its the OLD one that's included with this rom. When somebody releases the new kitchen, they need to make sure to update comm manager. I'm to much of a wuss to start cooking anything. Can't wait for all the new fun that you guys come up with!!!!

AWESOME!!!

One quick question ... so after Helmi does his magic ... and magic it is ... we will see carrier specific versions of the rom and/or kitchen ... i'm a lowly Verizon user so you know i'm anxious

I've used all of the kitchens with my verizon 6700, what needs to be more carrier specific?

I assume what he means is the ability to cook the ROM with the carrier-specific *.prj file so that it can be flashed using the standard ROMUpgradeIt exe rather than having to use the NoID and flash from bootloader mode.

Or maybe I don't know what I'm talking about. Just waiting for the kitchen...
