Do we need all of these links, or just the appbutton ones?

Directory("\Windows\AppButtons"):-File("Camera.lnk","\Windows\HTC_Camera.lnk")
Directory("\Windows\AppButtons"):-File("Camera.lnk","\Windows\OEMCamera.lnk")

The "HTC_Camera.lnk" item links to something that doesn't exist, as discussed in the r2 thread...

Just like to add if you didn't get a chance to put the voice command exe in your kitchen it will still work if you put that exe into the windows directory after loading up your ROM to the phone. I just keep a copy of it on my memory card, and drop it in there after the first hard reset. You will get an error on first boot that it could not find the file, but once you drop it in there and soft reset, all will work perfectly.

## Codes

What's the word with ## codes on R3? Is it still an issue with non-Verizon phones? Inquiring Alltel users want to know!

OK, like all of us here I got impatient and flashed R3 instead of waiting for an answer.

Good news: ## codes work on my Alltel PPC-6700.

Bad news: None yet! I'll keep testing...

***EDIT*** One little thing I noticed... installed the new CommManager as part of the flash and I have the same goofy display that others had earlier with the big blocky letters under the icons (looks like they were written with a white Crayola). Minor inconvenience.

I'm going to remove the ## item from the unconfirmed issues list since no ones spoken up about it thus far, and you were able to confirm it working on Altel. It may be the case that it's not set right for carriers outside of Sprint, Altel, and Verizon (i.e. the ones there are carrier packages for), but that seems more like an omission than a bug.

If you can provide any further details on the specifics that cause the blocky letters it would be helpful.

I think the ## issue is dialer skin specific. I am working on it. For instance, I am integrating the HTC Touch theme and extras for the next kitchen, but ## codes dont work on the dialer and the smartdial is flakey right now.

Coming soon:

Actually, yes and no. I have not had time to make it an option yet Friguy. So, to do this, not only will you have to install your own MMS OEM, but you will have to go in and manuall remove any conflicting files from the MMS OEM in the kitchen. You will probably need to edit the rgu as well.

I cannot even tell you if it would work after all of this since there may be soem issues with dependencies. If it does, please keep track of everything you do and let me know.
you lost me at rgu file...so maybe ill wait. lol hopefully i can figure this out because the new things you are adding sound awesome!

OEM\APACHE_SETTING

have Conflicting Setting with Some Theme which also have Phone Skin in it.

Please Remove this from

The FOllowing Conflicating Setting should be removed if you want any other Dialer Skin

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Phone\Skin]
"Ext"="PhoneCanvas.dll"

=#4= OEM\Optional_WeatherPanel:

The WeatherPanel packages causes the phone to connect to the data network on first boot. This is bad for people who do not have a data package and may pay high prices for cellular data service.

An option to disable the cellular data service would address this.
How does this connect with out the Data connection set up? I have not set up a new data connection yet, but it is still connecting with no hitches! I have unlimited data, so its no big deal for me, but just curious.
