Try VZW as the user, and verizon as the password.

If that works at least the rom can come completely pre-loaded.
This seems to be working for me also.

Storage Card Issues

Is anyone else having problems with their Storage Card not always showing up? I am using the ROM Kitchen for Sprint; outside of the ROM apps, I have O2Plus and MortPlayer installed. There doesn't seem to be any pattern, but the Storage Card will not be available at times. I have music, videos and email attachments on my SanDisk 2GB card and these items will be suddenly unaccessible. At those times, I go into File Explorer and the Storage Card isn't shown. If I soft reset one or two times the Storage Card will reappear. This has happened several times, so it's doesn't appear to be isolated incidents. I haven't experienced this issue on previous 3.5 ROM's that I've used. Any suggestions?

Thanks again for the otherwise great ROM and for your generous contribution of time & effort.

zenak,
Not sure your probem is the same as mine but my car (Acura TL) was dropping the Bluetooth connection all the time. Found out it was a problem in the BT software and how it handled power management. A quick fix was simply to leave the phone plugged into a car charger and change the power management settings to 'Always on while plugged in.' This leaves the BT radio at full power and keeps the connection solid.

If you're on battery, the phone goes into standby and sometimes shuts off the BT radio by mistake.

Spinning yen yang sign

How can I change that spinning sign while the programs are opening to something else?

Thanks, I don't think this is the case. When my phone gets an incoming call it rings on my car speakers for a half ring, then stops. The phone hand set continues to ring, and I can answer. Once I answer, the phone still thinks it is connected to the car, so the caller can't hear anything until I press the right soft button and then 'Disconnect Bluetooth headset'. After that is done I can talk on the headset, or simply press the 'transfer call' button on my car. The big pain about that button is that is is disabled if the car is moving faster then 5 miles an hour, so I can't always hit it. If I end the call and call the user back the bluetooth is connected and fine.

This has never happened with my other headsets, and doesn't show up in a whole slew of previous roms. I know the bluetooth is very touchy, and I'm guessing that some of the BT-PAN fixes break the profile that my car uses for it's headset. I guess I'll have to play with it and see which setting it is.... My car is a Lexus IS if that matters....

Problems with Windows Media Player

I receive .wav files from my voicemail to my email. When I try to play the attachement, I get the following error:

This has always worked on the other versions of the BigJ ROM. I store attachments to the storage card (which is actually Extended ROM since I don't know how to change it literally to the storage card). I am using the Sprint version (1.1). Nothing else installed. WMP works OK for music saved to my card (although it kind of skips, but I think that relates to my card not being a great card. I have a PQI 2GB).

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Well, i've been running 1.1 all afternoon, and it seems pretty damn cool. I'm still a bit of a noob, so i cant really comment on any changes that were made, other than some obvious ones.

edit: Oh, and i didnt have to enter any Verizon shiz for data conns... I'm in the Maryland area... i'll have to test it out when i travel to Vegas next week. See if area affects it.
