YES!
I wondered why i didnt get texts yesterday, so i hit SMS (bringing up palm sms) and had someone send a test and got it. So i didnt think anything of it, but now if i send a text
http://www.messaging.sprintpcs.com/t...saging/compose
without palm running, you are right, it doesnt work.
It may not be a rom issue, it might just be the nature of the Palm SMS program.
I am using the Sprint kitchen ROM.
That is not the nature of the palm sms program. There is something wrong with jbabeys palm sms oem. The cab file works as it is supposed to. He will most likely be taking a look at this if he hasnt already realised the problem.
I may have forgotten to redo the DSM file in makeDSM.exe after I cleaned up the OEM package for it. Lemme do that asap and get this fixed!

RE: the verizon EPST codes, Ill have to take a look, I did not do any editing to the customization folder, but ill grab the latest from the R3 rom and put it into the kitchen. Hopefully that will resolve this issue.

The lockups on notifications i cant duplicate myself nor can my co-workers/friends that are all flashed to v1.0r --- I wish I could dig this a little deeper and see whats going on. Does anyone know if this happened in Helmi's test ROM or in Colonels release? This is a true boggle!

SMS is a big deal issue, so expect 1.1 out ahead of my initial release date. I hope to have it uploaded tonight. I can test the SMS issue, but I will be unable to test the verizon ## codes so ill need some feedback on that. I will also dig through EVERY oem that may impact notifications and see if i cant find a correlation with a package im using and the notification lockups.

I also love what im seeing here, it looks like everyone is helping out and really pushing to nail down the problems. Thank you!

Outside of that problem, I don't have any issues with this ROM though... so its a small trade off.

How can I fix this?

EDIT: Nevermind... if you open Memmaid and just make a link to messagingapp.exe in the startup tab, it fixes the problem. Just FYI.
In addition to the suggestion above which works, you can also add the messagingapp.exe to the "ignore list" on the handyswitcher app so that it just runs in the background without showing up, even when you click the X to close it. Enjoy! Another Excellent Rom from Jbabey! Keep it UP!

AWESOME ROM! I have been using your ROMs for a while now and they have all been great. The newest one (1.0r) is working great so far.

I have one question. In the past I used the generic ROM with my Verizon ExtROM (XV6700). I let the customizations run and it setup my internet connection (#777). The new ROM has the customizations built-in, but I didn't see anything run after I installed the ROM. Also, the #777 connection was not setup after I installed the ROM, I had to setup the connection manually. Is this what is required with the new ROM or an I missing something? Do I need to run the customizations manually, if so where are they located?

THANKS AGAIN for great ROMS and the hard work!!!

Honestly this has only happened to me with your ROMs. I'm downloading Colonels nk.nbf from 6/5 to flash, and I'll verify that. If I recall correctly the ONLY version not showing this trait to any degree was 1.3 Beta 2. All the others have it to some point. For instance this morning my 5:30 'Director on call' notification went off, and since I was in the shower I didn't cancel it. At 5:50 my phone rang, and froze immediately - the caller got voice mail after one ring. I wasn't able to do anything other then a soft reset to get the phone to respond after this occurred.

Any idea about the strange bluetooth behavior though? I don't mind a soft reset once in a while as long as I can use the phone in my car. This particular problem has shown up randomly through a bunch of roms I've tried, and isn't limited to yours. It does PAn fine, and connects to all my devices without a soft reset, but with my car it drops incoming calls immediately to the handset, which still thinks it is connected to bluetooth so won't work until I disable bluetooth.

I had another lockup this am after only 1 night of detuning the cache sizes to 2096. AGAIN it was the call bubble up, and locked. I could make other apps run, and the start menu came down, but could not get the bubble to go away without a soft reset.

JBabey - I can test some for you if you want to check on the Alarm issue. Yesterday it did not ring at all. Today morning it rang and would never stop ringing - even soft resets won't help.

So I hard reset this morning.

Also, one other issue. I setup IM+ and thought of using the today plugin. The plugin seems to be available on the Today items list but does not show on the today screen.

Anybody has this issue?

wow I just noticed that. I checked it today and had 6 new messages dating from the 10th
My voicemail icon does not show up also. I have a hard time believing that no one else is having this issue. I hope it is just some registry fix. Anyone have any ideas??

Other than that, your rom rocks.
Had the same voicemail issue today (and yesterday for that matter). Verizon user.
Anyone find a fix for this yet?
I'm having the same issue and it's a bit of a deal-breaker for me.
Without the notification, phoneAlarm can't do it's thing either.

Does anyone notice that with the Palm SMS app that incoming texts are dated ahead of their actual receipt? On mine incoming texts are dated two hours ahead of my phone time.
