You can remove it. There will always be the copy in \Windows, but that is not taking up any program memory since it is in the rom.

I just checked my phone and I do not have anything in My Documents\My Sounds.

K. As I think I said in another thread, I plan to look into generating a clean up stuff OEM if possible.

After flashing with R1 /w default set of options+Verizon Custom+Crossbow Theme I have...
Aloutette.mid
ding.amr
Dogbark.wav

If it is "Customize.lst" that copies it to \My Sounds, can someone provide any explanation of it's usage. Here's the section that seems to copy the files...

...
\My Documents\My Pictures\1-nature_15fps.mp4
\My Documents\My Sounds\Alouette.mid
\My Documents\My Sounds\ding.amr
\My Documents\My Sounds\Dogbark.wav

\My Documents\UAContents\Templates\0.dat
...

It's formating seems to be simpler than that of initflashfiles.txt.

Are you letting any cabs run? maybe from your extrom? the customize.lst is something that is included in cabs. It should not do anything in the kitchen.

I can't seem to sync with my exchange server either; I get Support code 0x85010004
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have determined this is an error with my works exchange server.

On that note, check out this link I found: services dot mail2web dot com/FreeServices/

Free exchange server!

I didn't think so, but then realized I still had the Verizon cabs in my Extended_ROM. Since needed files seem to be part of the kitchen I guess I can just clear the extended rom out.

Also, there is a "customize.lst" included in...
OEM\OEM_VERIZON_MMS.3.0.6.24_FileSupport_Dshow_Com mon_Mhub
...from your statement I'm guessing it doesn't need to be.

I moved from R0 to R1 today. Had a little weird experience...

First off, I added the Verizon_Balling splash screen to both the ROMs. Had my own OEMs added to both.

On the R0 things are booting up fine except for some shortcut issues.

On the R1, after the initial splash screen, I see a White screen flashing and then the welcome head screen and again a White screen flashing. This happens every time I do a reboot.

Is this supposed to happen???

On another note, I installed Yumas 6700 hacks program. Fired it up on the device and didn't do any changes but exit it. Then I go to the Phone screen and the image is completely vanished. (Luckily I did a phone call before opening the program and I received a call right after I closed it). So, I went back to the hacks program to see anything, and there is a check box for the phone images to be deleted.

The problem doesn't end there. The next time I update the ROM, the phone screen is still blank. I have to manually install a dialer cab file to get it to show.

Anyone on this????

All Help Appreciated...

FYI... the pieplus.dll file is missing from the Optional_PiePlus 2.2 OEM folder. The program will not work without it... don't think this was intentional as it has a demo period.

yeah, the pieplus.dll was my fault. This was pulled for building roms since the trial will now function when the app is built in. I will put it back in the next kitchen.
