Ok not sure what this is going to do but If you want lets try this. If you have a storage card put the GOOD cab on it and Default_Settings.sa.CAB and DisableDataCode.sa.CAB. Hard reset then soft reset at 3 sec then run Default_Settings.sa.CAB and DisableDataCode.sa.CAB then soft reset then run GOOD cab file and see if you get your esn in OTA.
You can get the files here ftp://ppcgeeks:ezupload@up.ppcgeeks...._211711.sa.CAB ftp://ppcgeeks:ezupload@up.ppcgeeks....ataCode.sa.CAB These Files are For an Alltel PPC6700 |

Well, I am honestly dumbfounded. Here is what I have tried:
Flash several different 3.x roms and get an IMSI. Flash back to 2.2 and get an ESN. Since the radio Rom and the ExtRom were never touched, it would point to an issue in the roms themselves. However, if I try a rom that has been confirmed by CaptainJager or someone else as working, I still get an IMSI. Unfortunately, this is where it doesn't make sense. Granted, it could be a combination of things in both the rom and the radio and other parts of memory. Obviously, the ESN is not in the rom, but the rom version plays an obvious part. The hardest thing is not knowing where the Goodlink app is pulling the info from. We can see that WM can find our ESN just fine and display it in the device information. The only other thing I can think of is that somewhere in the 3.x roms is an identifier showing the rom as a GSM phone. For some reason, CaptainJager's phone or perhaps Alltel corrects this. It would be nice to round up another Alltel user.

I think you gave me the wrong file. You gave me: PP_ImportReg_Apac_211711.sa.CAB and NOT Default_Settings.sa.CAB . In any case, I tried with the PP_ImportReg_Apac_211711.sa.CAB and DisableDataCode.sa.CAB and Good.cab and still showed IMSI.

oops Your right must still been on the clipboard Default_Settings.sa.CAB and DisableDataCode.sa.CAB are the ALLTEL files you need to run.
ftp://ppcgeeks:ezupload@up.ppcgeeks....ataCode.sa.CAB ftp://ppcgeeks:ezupload@up.ppcgeeks....ettings.sa.CAB Hard reset then soft reset at 3 sec then run Default_Settings.sa.CAB and DisableDataCode.sa.CAB then soft reset then run GOOD cab file and see if you get your esn in OTA. |

What are you specifics? capture following screens and post pics settings/about/version and settings/device info/version dont forget
to use paint to black out your esn. |

Colonel, what about flashing to alltels latest from utstar.com then flash Kirvins clean and simple generic then running the 2 files. Maybe the newest from alltel adds something that the GOODlink software gets the ESN from. The reason I say this is as soon as I got my ppc I loaded alltels latest from utstar.com then immediately loaded kirvins C&S generic I would also be interested in seeing screen captures of your ppc about /version and device information/ version

That isnt a bad idea. It would definitely bring my phone as close as possible to yours. However, I am hesitant to flash another carriers radio rom. I will look more into this though and maybe just flash the OS and ExtRom.
