I have just gone through yet another round of hard resets trying to get this phone to quit hanging on the reboot screen. This has occurred through the last several nbf's, up to and including the most recent one posted the other day, across my old beat up phone as well as my brand new, non-refurb insurance replacement. If everyone else is getting along okay, it must be something specific to me. the phone only seems to lose its mind shortly after I activesync for the first time after a hard reset. So my latest theory is that I have too many pim items (150 contacts, 619 calendar, and 1005 tasks). I hard reset once more, and am trying life without syncing any tasks for now. It has made it through a few soft resets and all appears well, fingers crossed. If this turns out to be the problem, how do I limit what it syncs? I don't need all the calendar and tasks, most are in the past, but i don;t want to delete them either. Unfortunately, activesync seems to want all or nothing. I also have pocketmirror, which doesn't seem to be any different. I remember with my ancient Palm Pilot I could tell it to ignore anything older than X days. Any way to limit the size of the pim databases? |

petree, make sure you are pressing both softkeys and reset at the same time.
btrcp2000, you arent losing your mind, this has become an issue...sorta. I have not seen it with hard resets, but is can occur with normal resets. Mostly I think it has to do with the mix of apps on the rom. I know that slide was causing some of the issues, but I have removed it and still had issues. This is one of the reasons that these roms are "experimental" and not fully released. Mostly, they are something fun to play with.

LMAO... I gave my 6700 to my wife after I upgraded to my 6800, and then I upgraded her to the 3.5 Final that you created.. I was so jealous of all the kewl apps that she got that I don't have, that I went one by one and beamed the apps and dlls to my phone just so I could have them... LMAO... AWESOME job man.. Now if I could just get yahoo! go 2.0 to work on my 6800.. I need my YAHOO MAIL!!!
Everything works like a charm on the 6700 and all the apps that I installed manually work wonderfully on the 6800 as well.. I take that back.. O2 works as far as closing apps, but it doesn't put the shortcuts and stuff on the today screen.. Is there somewhere I can dload that app? |

its actually on the downloads page, go there and use your browsers find feature and type in o2 (you want version 2.3)

Colonel,
I am a newbie and and not very knowledgeable about upgrading ROMs. I have continuos hangs on my XV6700 (VZW) and want to upgrade your ROM. I have downloaded the OtherCarriers3.5Final and started intalling and gave me an "ERROR 150: ROM UPGRADE UTILITY ERROR". It says to get the proper ROM upgrade Utility for my device. Where do i get this? or am I doing something wrong. I am in bootloader mode and it says USB connected. Thanks. I look forward to using your ROM. v/r LiemThung |

Yeah, I might just put out a new rom soon. There are always new test nk.nbf files on the ftp.
Liem, not sure what the problem is exactly. Did you try again? Find me in the chat room if you still have issues. |
