I have just gone through yet another round of hard resets trying to get this phone to quit hanging on the reboot screen. This has occurred through the last several nbf's, up to and including the most recent one posted the other day, across my old beat up phone as well as my brand new, non-refurb insurance replacement. If everyone else is getting along okay, it must be something specific to me.

the phone only seems to lose its mind shortly after I activesync for the first time after a hard reset. So my latest theory is that I have too many pim items (150 contacts, 619 calendar, and 1005 tasks). I hard reset once more, and am trying life without syncing any tasks for now. It has made it through a few soft resets and all appears well, fingers crossed.

If this turns out to be the problem, how do I limit what it syncs? I don't need all the calendar and tasks, most are in the past, but i don;t want to delete them either. Unfortunately, activesync seems to want all or nothing. I also have pocketmirror, which doesn't seem to be any different. I remember with my ancient Palm Pilot I could tell it to ignore anything older than X days. Any way to limit the size of the pim databases?
