k000, come to the chat room if you still need help

Ninja, that is smartskey. It uses the left softkey as well. It is just one of those things you have to deal with. Or you can disable smartskey.

Funnily - one of the various reboots + takeing the battery out solved the problem, and it has happened twice today... and I am left without the phone oin booted and usable state for upto 30 minutes.

Will see if I can come on chat tomorrow.... do you mean IIRC ?`

to the colonel:

One of my co-workers said that cpt. jagers rom was better than yours because it is more stable. I have not tried his yet but I like the o2 interface of yours.
In an unbiased way, what are your thoughts on this?

(also, my voice command pooped out on me after a soft reset. comes up with a little error about certs and whatnot. ive tried hard reset too and it still doesn't work. what am i doing wrong?)

Hey Colonel,

I love your roms and all your contributions to this community and the advancement of our beloved 6700's. I just downloaded the latest nk.nbf from the FTP and it seems to be an Alltel rom. I noticed that there was a seperate Alltel and a Sprint one. I downloaded the Sprint one and it will not load. I also had noticed that it was smaller in size than a normal nk.nbf. Just wondering. Keep up the good work!!!

What is the difference betwee the APA & APAC files?

Better yet, what files are required to restore a XV-6700 to factory fresh?

I think USStarCom is just fairly loose with their naming conventions, one file has the fully written out "Apache" as well.

The full list of files for Apache's would be...

APA_SPCS_20600_303_12700_WWE_Ship.exe
APA_VZW_20720_206_11000_WWE_Ship.exe
APAC_ALLTEL_21120_701_11500_Ship.exe
APAC_ALLTEL_21120_711_11500_Ship.exe
APAC_BM_21120_710_11400_BMCID_Ship.exe
APAC_CellularSouth_21120_702_11600_PPST_103_Ship.e xe
APAC_SPCS_20600_300_11200_Ship.exe
APAC_Telus_20920_701_11400_Ship.exe
APAC_VZW_20720_200_11000_Ship.exe
Apache_Qwest_20600_704_11200_Ship_Version.exe

You should pick the newest one by date for your carrier.
