No service is available. You should never edit your BT partnership (as pcfixitman wrote in Step 4).

The application will wait for incoming commands. (ERROR: No data. Press button on watch to start.)

Yes, this is worth a try. Just switch the ports. I will add support for selecting com port within the application later.

Do I have to run smartwatchM from a specific directory?
do you have netcf installed on your phone?

recheck all reg work you did... CAP Sensitive...

before you do reg work.. make sure you tried to pair your watch, it will fail but contiune install anyway... no services will show...

do reg hack... to add outgoing port...
go back to bluetooth settings in wm and make sure that the port is ready to use.

then do incoming port...
again go back and check that it is there...

start program smartwatchm click open, then press a button on your watch so its display turns on... then click start...
should work...

let me know...

any ideas about getting the sms working... since the test trigger works... i'm guessing whatever sms event that the program is looking for is not going off on my phone...

I don't think windows mobile sms is triggering the command
Just a simple test: Send a SMS to your phone or mark any SMS in the inbox as nuread.
Start any registry editor and go to
HKCU\System\State\Messages\sms\Unread
Find item "Count". Is it set to 1 or 0?

Here it is... This isnt right. You may try this... http://home.comcast.net/~relmerator/
Or hard reseting your device.

BTW... try set two or messages as unread and see if it changes.

.NET CF 2 is a part of WM 6. You may try to instal more recent version but I dont think this could help.

I give up. I tried many different combinations but still get the IO Error from the program. However, I was able to pair up the watch using incoming port (Com0).

I will wait for a few other people to try this so they can let me know what I did wrong.

I would suggest you delete all bluetooth pairings and start over... make sure you are editing the correct bluetooth pair when your do the reg tweak for me it name of the watch wasn't mbw-100 it was caller-id watch.

This program really works well...
