1. Reset your device, turn off WiFi
2. Download and open latest version of smartWatchM 3. Select "Start" from the application menu 4. Press some button on your watch ...does it communicate now? |

As soon as I press Start, I get the error message. It is looking for some programming resource.
An error message cannot be displayed because an optional resource assembly containing it cannot be found. Do I have to run smartwatchM from a specific directory? |

allenpu: smartWatchM can be run from any directory.
Seems more like the COM problem. Try to close all running programs/network conenctions because something may lock the port. Download the latest version once more and post the error message. |

Just repeated the entire process and still getting the same IO error. The detailed error message is below:
smatWatchM.exe IOException An error message cannot be displayed because an optional resource assembly containing it cannot be found at System.IO.Ports.SerialStream.WinIOError() at System.IO.Ports.SerialStream..ctor() at Sytem.IP.Ports.SerialPort.Open() at smartWatchM.Form1.menuItem3_Click() and so on. |

You can instal Mobile Terminal Emulator (as pcfixitman wrote) and check if the port really can be opened and you are able to see commands from watch. |

Questions:
-After doing everything. Should a there be a Service under the Bluetooth Partnership setting for the watch? -If you press Start without the watch in range, what happens? -Can I change the incoming and outgoing COM port numbers? Thanks |
