Re: Just a thought....

The other browsers take up SOOOOO much room. I mean, they are HUGE. I think netfront was the smallest of the bunch, but i think that one weighd in at like 5 megs. Im teetering on like 500k of free ROM space as it is! I figured putting in PiePlus was a good "compromise" if you know what i mean, and its really simple to disable if you dont like it (see known issues). The animated icons are already like a meg, so if you got better ones id LOVE to get my hands on them. Shoot them over to me plz, would be much appreciated. Thanks for the feedback

I didn't realize the implications of the ROM's size. I understand that now. It sure would be nice though!
I PM'd the weather icons to you. I wish I could remember where I got them from. It would be nice to credit the creator. I think they did a great job. Thanks, Dan |

....Regarding the browser...
Jbaby - have you looked at Picsel Browser? It's quite small and does more that just browse - has a document viewer too - even does pdf's. It's a little tricky to find the .cab for it, but it's out there... anyway the install for it is probably no larger than the pdf viewer yer already using - perhaps you can kinda kill two birds with one stone here.... http://www.mobiletopsoft.com/board/2...ws-mobile.html |

HI JBabey. I have these on my Today in order of sequence : - LVM TimeO2 + Last Call - Messaging - PA - Speed Dial - WP - Birthdays (I installed it myself, and have been using for years now ) - WP-Pilot On the Birthdays - It's a cool app - with 72 KB of footprint - shows me only b'days and anniversaries... Not sure if you have ever tried it. I use it instead of Task+ or Cal+ etc etc. |

Big J,
I noticed this earlier, but thought maybe I was doing something wrong. It appears that I'm not do anything out of the ordinary though. I can enable Phonealarm but if I soft reset, it hangs during the boot-up. After 4 or 5 resets, phonealarm hit turns itself off (safety feature of WM5, maybe?) and then it's ok. But as soon as I turn it back on, it does the same thing on the next reset. I have a Verizon version, and don't let it install the customizations. I'm puzzled. I feel like it has something to do with the beta version of Phonealarm though. I installed it before on the unified ROM and had the same problem. Not sure if that helps or not, but more feedback to consider. I like the Metroid stuff too, BTW. Thanks, Dan |
